My Grandpa first introduced me to the Chanticleers year before last on a Thanksgiving trip to a lodge in Nebraska City, Nebraska. I'm a younger guy with a broad taste in music, but these guys flat out gave me the chills. Raw, wholesome, powerful music. Thanks for sharing!
These 2 selections were my introduction to this amazing vocal orchestra. I've never even cared for A Cappella music, until this month. Bravo, Chanticleer!

You don't hear a bass's voice, you feel it...

It must be the Christmas season, because I feel compelled to load my quicklist with the wonderful sounds of Chanticleer. Merry Christmas to all!

what did the bass say in the beginning? All I heard was "I bee bee in." "ire califoree" "this is my 19th year."

First was "that would be me" (in response to the question "who's been here longest?").
Second statement: "Eric Alatorre", his name.
Third statement: "this is my 19th year".

Beautiful. Just absolutely beautiful!
Ever since I was 12 or so when my mother bought a Chanticleer CD, I've been in love with them.

holy crap, thats a deep natural voice. Chanticleer is awesome, i personally like them performing early music like palestrina or josquin.
