well... if you accept Jesus to be your lord and savior and follow him then you will go to heaven when you die and yes He is in heaven :) And also if you strive after him here on earth he will come and meet you here!

Also, we are God's temple, when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, so this song is asking God to come and dwell in his temple because when He is in us, we will without a doubt be like Him :)
