  • hey,cud u pls make a tutorial as to how to OVERCLOCK a PC.......?

  • Awesome Job!

I have a G5 that I want to convert into something like what you've built.

How Can I go about doing so?..mainly will be used for graphic design...

  • plz do tutorial!!

  • HOW MUCH IT COSTED???

  • WHERE DID I FORGET MY INDIAN ACCENT

  • ranjit

I want to make a hackintosh mini /shuttle can you recommend the HW that would be good candidates I think i5 or 7 would be better than i3

    thanks !

  • i have windows seven x64

single core 2.3 gHz AMD processor

    2Gb Ram

    320Gb drive space.

can i do a snow leopard hackintosh?

  • @nhking4 nah AMD Not Supported

  • @nhking4 Thanks anyway,

    Awesome tutorial.

  • hey ranjt, safal here...

even i made a hackintosh, but its running Lion 10.7.1

soon im trying to upgrade the OS to 10.7.2... lemme know how is it com/watch?v=m3n3361OCHs&feature=youtu.be

  • hey geekyranjit i need to take new high-end system for high gaming and video/audio converter and others winrar, 3dmarking see my requirements

processor : intel core i7 3960x extreme processor.

    motherboard :SABERTOOTH_X79

storage : 500gb sdd drive please suggest me good company

pc case : COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Advanced RC-932-KKN5-GP Black Steel ATX Full Tower Compucase Case.

graphics cards : which is good nvidia 590 sil or ati 6970 on crossfirex.

    power supply : Corsair 1250w.

  • @shafishaheer212: Looks nice...... all this config for a windows comp or Hackintosh, For SSD I am using a Kingston HyperX very happy but the max capacity is 240 GB, check with intel 510 series to see if you can get higher capacities but they are not as fast a HyperX which are based on SATA 3 conttoller, check even OCZ.

If You are not going beyond 2 monitor setup then with nvidia 590 can play any game you can throw at it.

  • @geekyranjit thanks.i think to take a for my system onida 22inch Anti-Reflective LED TV.please tell me also about ups.

  • @shafishaheer212 As far as I know the 3960x is not yet supported! Correct me if i'm wrong.

  • hey geekyranjit,

i came up with this cofig please let me know if this will work.

    Intel Core i7 2600K CPU

    GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

    Corsair XMS3 CMX6GX3M3A1600C9 6GB DDR3 1600 Memory

    AMD Radeon HD 6870

WD VelociRaptor 300GB SATA HDD WD3000HLFS

    waiting for your reply....

  • @visam007: Everything looks good just not to sure about the graphic card 6870 coz high end card tend to give problem check with tonymacx86 (dot) com forums about the graphic card.

  • @visam007 why would it not work?

  • @asus3571: I did not check the hackintosh scene in the recent times, but earlier the high end graphic cards used to create some trouble due to driver issues, as I suggested check tonymac86 website to see if you particular graphic card works properly.

That is one of the reasons when I build this rig I used a low end Nvidia 240 GTX coz that card had all the proper support.

  • @geekyranjit Bro, 6870 works perfectly with snow leopard ... There are videos online on youtube showing ... but in order to activate 6870, you only have to add GraphicsEnabler = yes in boot.plist...

  • @grudingOyster Hi, I am planning to buy the same card. Is there anything else that need to be tweaked? Also, how much does it cost in India?

  • @unicor23 Just follow the tutorials in tonyhacks and get GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3, It´s a problem free board. Sorry dude I don´t live in india so, I don´t know...

  • @shubhamcorei7: I did add a CM Hyper 212+ after market cooler and that reduces the peak temp by 15 degrees C at load compared from the stock HSF, I did make a video about the same.

  • Which Graphic Card using for this build ?

  • @myvideos0007: Nvidia 240 GT

  • is it necessary to have a lot of fans in the cpu......

coz i have only 2 fans in my system.

  • @TechnoDictionary: Nope 2 is more that enough, if you feel your CPU is overheating you can go for a after market CPU cooler like CM Hyper that I use.

  • Why do you say that your first choice was H67? H67 does not unlock the CPU. It's more geared for integrated graphics use. P67 allows to unlocking CPU.

Z68 is a hybrid of both P67 and H67, so you get both. Isn't Z68 a better choice than H67?

  • @yohanliyanage Why yes the z68 is much better it offers on more feature inside of windows call Smart Response Technology also known as SSD caching but what it does is enables a SSD up to 60 GB as a cache drive so your most used programs are moved to there for faster access times works in windows would like to see someone get it done on a hackintosh

  • @computergeekbryan: Yep SRT is great but as of now it works only with windows in RAID setup.

  • why put mac os on a computer..... you can just basically do all the same things with ubuntu....

  • @Trinandrhino LOL

  • i7 2006K LOL! INCORRECT, It's 2600k

  • what motherboard processor you need to build a hackintosh

  • @dame12712: With the guide I follow you need a intel based processor and a compatible motherboard I have made hackintosh with both Gigabyte & Asus motherboards boards it's just that if you components are on the compatible list you will have a much easier path on building Hackintosh else you would have to keep hunting the web for proper (kexts) driver to make your Hackintosh build work properly.

See my other video on how to make an Hackintosh it gives more details.

  • very informative. thank you so much.

  • lol transcend ram

  • Hey I like your video and I was just wanting to know if my video card and motherboard would be a good choice for a hackintosh. I will be building one in the next couple of weeks so could you tell me if a Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 GPU and GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard be compatible with Mac? I want the full power of the parts so please respond. Thanks!

  • @Andrijpok: Yes you motherboard and even the graphic card is supported..... please see another video that I made on how to make an hackintosh it covers most of the steps they are needed to convert your machine to an hackintosh.

  • @geekyranjit Thank You!

  • kkkkkkkkkkk ques beiço feiu kkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Where can we buy the retail snow leopard in india. The Apple stores seem to have no idea about it.

  • @astrowize: Yeah look in apple stores if you can get it..... else need to get it via sources like ebay coz apple has stopped producing Mac OS X 10.6 disk for now as Lion has been launched.

  • hi, what graphic card would you recommend for a non gamer? im gonna build a hacky with the same mobo and i72600k, but for music production and some basic aftereffect works. thx.

  • @glitchak: I am using nvidia 240 GT I think so you can even go for Geforce 210 or 220 those are pretty cheap and more than enough for a Hackintosh..... actually I was earlier using Nvidia 8600GT and that also works great out of the box for an hackintosh but sadly we cannot find those cards now.

  • @geekyranjit ok thanks. also why was the H67 your 1st choice?

  • @glitchak: I was not interested in over-clocking hence H67 would have done the job fine, infact If I would have gone with H67 then I would have chosen the i7 2600 chip but now as I have gone with Z68 chipset I went with 2600K chip as well might do overclocking.

  • Yes, as you said, please create a video for making hackintosh

  • @paarkhi: Yes it is due will try to do it by next week

  • have you upgraded this to lion yet? I have the same mobo but with the 2500k i5 and I put lion on it.

  • @Ybtv09: No I havenet put Lion on it yet..... I had updated Lion on my 13" MBA but now it does not see my NAS drive..... hence I am not putting Lion as of now, will wait till Lion updates to 10.7.2 then will probably try the same.

In Lion does everything work sleep etc... or are you facing any issues....

  • @geekyranjit I haven't faced any issues other than a kernel panic every once in a while but I just reboot and it works fine. What do you mean by NAS drive? And yes everything works, even on board video. That is mostly the reason why I upgraded to lion is to get that working right with native resolution because I haven't bought a video card yet.

  • @Ybtv09: I think you have got a slight different board mine is Z68X-UD3R-B3 it does not have inbuilt graphic option I know it's a Z68 board but this one does not have a graphic port at the back so I have used Nvida 240GT graphic card with the same, by NAS I meant (Network Attached Storge) my Iomega NAS drive many folders are not visible in Lion it's a know issue with lots os NAS........ Lion breaks a few thins with NAS.

  • @geekyranjit Ah i see what your saying and yeah your right i have the z68ma-d2h-b3

  • Looking forward for the hackintosh tutorial

  • I think there is one version of 3d MArk for Mac also.

  • @sharmaabhijit: Not that I know of..... for Mac for CPU benchmark Geekbench is used and for 3D benchmarking Cinebench is used.

  • Have u tried 3D mark on ur new PC, (if yes) what score u got?

  • @sharmaabhijit: Nope there is no 3D mark for the Mac OS X........ and I did not get the time to install Windows 7

  • How did u do it though???

  • yes sure tell us how to make a hackintosh. thx;

  • @geekyranjit - whats the software used to monitor the usage of the processor?

  • @Wildfire4100: for monitoring the CPU cores (8 cores in for i7) in % I used a free software called Menumeters and also used istats Menu 3 (paid software)

  • @geekyranjit thanks

  • thump up for very nice review...

  • @tomyloveu: thanks Tom
