  • ...The Return of Dr. Terwilliker...

  • Mad people!!! xD

  • This is awful. Shame on them. I mean, technically of course it's correct, and I'm happy for the participants, but it sounds terribly muddled.

  • needs more cow-bell

  • They should have had bright sounding pianos where the violins sit, mellow ones with the brass and dark ones at the cellos basses and low brass the sound would be better.

  • I feel I am watching a Buñuel film or a Dalí painting. So surreal, so crazy and the worst of all, this seems to be reality! What was the purpose of this all, so much money and time spent on this nonsense experiment. We are definitely getting all crazy!

  • I thin on orhgan sounds much mor better. Because the organs generally have diferent voiced pipe ranks which have different tune it makes the music much more colorful. In pianos... Well the pianos tune not so different. And it makes the music lumpy when to many pianos playing the same note.

  • @Zumipali2 - very true! Unfortunately, the RFH authorities haven't seen fit to have the organ restored since its removal for the hall's refurbishment - 25-30% of it is in the hall and working, but the rest is still in storage with Harrison & Harrison in Durham. It's not a wonderful organ, though - very harsh sound in the worst acoustic in the world. It's a crime that London hasn't had a decent concert hall since the Queen's Hall was bombed in WWII. Now, what to do with Battersea Power Station...

  • Would've hated to tune all of those. =\

  • Oohf, 3:37...

  • :O

    just

    :O

  • ooohh!! :O!!!

  • conductor james lowe is one lucky man (even though most pianist can hardly ever see the conductor lol)

  • Thanks for posting this. My five year old little boy took part and thoroughly enjoyed himself!

  • @oasisgirl7 That's good to know!

  • Interesting exercise! Quite a feat getting all those pianos on stage but was it worth it? Great fun though and I should have loved to have been there!

  • That´s really interesting but i´m afraid LangLang is wrong----->too less pianos! Actually i prefer the version of 75 bagpipes, last summer i was in Hollywood listening to the very exciting version of 100 fipple pipes played by 100 hand-picked virgins, that was great and it looked truly impressive! ;))

  • Poor Richard...

  • @pianopera :-) So....but we should consider that "ages ranged from 5 to 23".

  • @morinoroba True ... in fact the whole event was hugely enjoyable. There was a real 'buzz' in the hall!

  • Maybe to discourage....

  • hahahahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!!
