  • Do switch to clean or what during the talkbox parts?

  • I really need to know if you can run a lead to your talkbox then to the guitar?

  • That was hella sick. You should do wanted dead or alive again but on electric guitar not acoustic and then jam out on the solo in the middle.

  • nice cover ;)

  • Sounds amazing!

  • Can someone tell me what kind of camera angle/fx he's using (camera locked on the guitar)?

  • @Dragonzair1 When I uploaded the video to iMovie, it automatically zoomed the shots in to 110%. I forgot to change it when I uploaded the video. That's why the camera seems to move with the guitar.

  • RU BOBBY DIETRICH?

  • cool:) I like it:))

  • I just wanted to say thanks. I got a Dunlop Heil Talkbox and used living on a prayer to learn how to use it, and this video kinda set a tutorial for how to use it. Keep working at that guitar, you're really good :)

  • Hey I own a pod x3live and I am getting a talk box probably rocktron banshee 2. Can you advice me 1. how to connect the talkbox to my pod x3live ? 2. Which talk box is better rocktron 1/2 or dunlop ht1 heil?

Hoping for an early reply.. thanks..

  • @AnindyaBoseKurt The talkbox needs to be put in between your amp head and your cab. Signal chain is like this: Guitar > pod x3 live > amp head > talk box > cab.

I have only had experience with the dunlop one. It works great and it's really well-built.

  • @MrLespaul22 how do you hook up the talk box with a practise amp

  • that gave me the chills haha! Awesome cover :D

  • this kid blows

  • what type of gibson les paul r u using?

  • @OfficialBlackInk Gibson Les Paul Classic 1960 Reissue

  • Dude for the chorus you play power chords not open chords

    other then that its good

  • @kyleatkinson96

Nah, Richie plays open chords live for sure. On the record, there are probably two guitars, one doing power chords, the other open.

  • @MrLespaul22 What kind of pickups u got in there? awesome guitar by the way [=

  • this guy's good.

  • You should make a karaoke, with you doing the talkbox and the guitar, and let the keyboard and the drums play in the background!^^

  • world championship my pal, BIG +!

  • how does a talkbox work?

  • @bagq06 Signal chain goes like this: Guitar>pedal board>amp head>talk box>amp cab

The talk box has a small speaker inside of it that projects sound up a tube and into your mouth when the button on it is pressed. Your guitar's signal is redirected to the talk box instead of the amp cab. When you move your mouth, the sound changes and gives you that "talking" sound. When the sound comes out of your mouth, you can use a mic to amplify it.

  • @MrLespaul22 Thankyou very much always wanted to know how they work

  • @MrLespaul22 can it work without a mic or do you need it to make all of the that youer talk box?

  • @1littlelaura You can use it without a mic, but it's hard to hear, the mic just gives a much bigger sound.

  • Amazing sound

  • Great cover dude:))) added to my favourites!

  • what amp do you have?

  • Great Job dude!!! I play bass but u make guitar look so easy!

  • @MrLespaul22 What settings you using in chorus? sounds awesome :)

  • GREAT DUDE!

What program do u use to record all this?

  • @KissFan1997 it's in the description. Logic express

  • very catchy

  • nice

  • great cover! I wish I had a talkbox!!

  • its different,i think he made a difference, and i really liked it good job :)

you dont have to play it normal way you just added something from yourself and its good keep it :)

  • love it

  • Nice man!

  • O my bad man

  • @TheAnthony542542 I jus wanted to add some of the things Richie does live.

  • @TheAnthony542542 i dont think so... cause its better to have ur own playing style instead of copying richies style...

  • @TheAnthony542542 That is the things that Richie does so aperently you have no idea what you are talking about.

  • @TheAnthony542542 you clearly know very little if you think this isnt freakin sweet

  • @TheAnthony542542 what's the normal way? the way he just described is the right way. and the way everybody use the talk box with.

  • @TheXtheguitaristX nah man. read what I replied to him =)

  • @MrLespaul22 How long have you been playing guitar?

  • @shanet1st Coming up on 3 years now.

  • excellent tone!

  • nice les paul you rock

  • good job mate ur brilliant it it :)

  • awesome job dude! - love the sound from your Les paul!

    All the best

    SS

  • Good job, you rock, one question, how did it cost in dollars (the talkbox)

  • @scalandrum09 about 170 bucks

  • @MrLespaul22 Ahh thanks, anyways, great cover!!

  • very good job...

  • That is fantastic mate. well done!

  • Awesome ! Sounds good man !

  • i fucking like this

  • what is it that you are doing at 2:58??? you know, to get the whammy bar like sound???

  • @georges10099 I am actually bending the neck of my guitar. Wood is more flexible than it seems! when you apply a little bit of pressure to the back of your guitar's neck and the front of your guitar's body, the wood bends and the strings lose a little bit of tension. The Les Paul's whammy bar =) Don't do it too hard though or you might damage your neck!

  • @MrLespaul22 nice :) i might have to have a go at that on my guitar :D

  • @MrLespaul22 Yeah. Thats also my Ibanez' GRX's whammy bar...No kiddin.

  • @georges10099 you can't get a wammy bar on a les paul dumbass :P

  • @TheComputerAddiction er.... yeh i know. i do own a les paul like guitar :/ it dont make me a dumbass not knowing how to get that type of sound

  • @georges10099 :P ok sorry

i got an Epiphone les paul :D:D rocks awsome!!

  • @TheComputerAddiction ok bud. no worries :) n they do XD

  • @TheComputerAddiction actually "dumbass" you can bud! :P

  • is that this famous gibson les paul?

  • Awesome!!

  • For the talk box needs two amplifiers? amplifiers have to be 50w? which amps are you? how many watts?

  • @Guifwan You only need one amp. for the HT-1 (the one I used), the amp cannot exceed 100w. I have a 100w Custom Audio Amplifiers PT 100.

  • I like how you imitated the Live version. Great job! Did you use tabs or you use your ear?

  • @rgerhardtembarq thanks man...i did try and implement some of Richie's live moves. good call there. and I go by ear all the time...can't trust tabs! hahaha

  • @MrLespaul22 I recently bought a talkbox. Is there ways to change the sound to fit the song??

  • @rgerhardtembarq The talkbox is just like the cab that your amp head drives. However, instead of a say a 4x12, the talkbox has a small speaker contained within the box. Yes, the speaker in your talkbox will manipulate the sound you get a little bit, but the biggest factor is your amp head. Whatever is coming out of your head is what is coming up the talkbox tube. That is where the primary tone comes from.

  • @MrLespaul22 Do you have to have a amp head cause i dont, mine is just a 75 watt amp line 6...

  • @REAPER3295 It is ideal to have an amp head yes. You have to have an output from the head to the talkbox and then back to the cab. Do some research about that, but I don't think you can hook up a talkbox with what you have...sorry man that really blows.

  • @MrLespaul22 Its ok i own a banshee i was just curiose aboutthe dunlop atleats i think yours is a dunlop...

  • @REAPER3295 I have a dunlop yes. And the banshee 2 does not need an amp head. I am not sure about the first banshee though...

  • @MrLespaul22 First Banshee doesn't either just plug the guitar into the input and your good to go that is mainly how I use mine. Come to think of it I don't even know why Rocktron made a Banshee 2 when there was nothing wrong with the original......Strange.

  • @tempo1889 Cause the Banshee 2 has more safety features for your amp so you don't blow it since your voice can go so low with bass

  • nice cover

  • is it hard to learn this song?

  • @Mast3rOfMuppets82 It wasn't for me. It is very easy. The only part that might give you trouble is the solo...but this is one of the easiest ones I know.

  • its perfect¡

  • Good, very good performance!!! What color is your guitar?

  • @MisterChrisBoy its called Honey Burst. It's sort of a darker yellow.

  • you need a mixing table to use a talbox, right?

  • @eukicos no...im not sure how u use it with an amp weather u just plug it in or u need a converter jack...but my friend has 2 of them and he doesnt have one.

  • @eukicos @theguitarguymike For the one I have (Dunlop HT-1) you need an amp head and a cab. The talkbox goes in between the two. The amp head runs a cable to the imput of the talkbox and then you run a cable from the talkbox output to your cab. When you engage the switch on the talkbox, it kills the signal going to your cab and runs it up the tube for the talkbox. To amplify the sound coming from the tube, yes you need a PA system.

  • @MrLespaul22 But without PA when you engage the talkbox you kill the sound of your guitar... right? you only hear the talk box...?

  • @eukicos yes you are right. When you engage the talkbox, it kills the signal going to your amp, so nothing comes out of your cab. It instad goes up the tube where you form the sound with your mouth. The only was that sound can be amplified is by using a microphone and a PA system.

  • @MrLespaul22 thanks :)

  • what kind of amp do you use???

  • @jbjrsdbttdl Custom Audio Amplifiers PT 100...all of my gear is in the sidebar of my channel by the way. If you have any further questions jus ask me.

  • what kind of talk box do you have?????

  • @jbjrsdbttdl It's a Dunlop HT-1 by Heil Sound. I just bought it like 3 months ago so it's brand new.

  • u did really great on that song. where did u get the guitar tab for this song at

  • That is one beautiful guitar!!!!

  • Dude i love the tone i think the pt100 can do very much everything, awesome amp. I will get one soon.

  • i really love the intro!! and the rest of the song is awesome!!!! great job dude i cant find a single problem

  • You've improved alot since the last cover video

  • Thanks!

  • how long u've been playing now?

  • comin up on 3 years now. I love playing.

  • Im' likin' those drums in the background.
