That looks beautiful, but it sounds not so great. I never thought clay flutes resonated very well. I am not sure of the intent of the two "wind trumpets", they didn't make any note or tones.
If you read my biography it say that Master Xaviar Quijas Yxayotl and I I we won a grant from The Institute for Cultural Partnership to learn how to make “Tlapizcalli” Clay flutes, with the Master “ Xavier Quijas Yxayotl”. This has been the first time that, I have received some training in art, and yet I later went on to make more clay instruments.
Did you ask Xavier Quijas if you could copy his idea for this instrument? Xavier originated this style with all the whistles y todo. I believe people that do what we do (indigenous music) should state where our ideas come from...These are Mexican instruments not North American. Not just the Aztec (Mexica is the correct name hijole) and Mayan had these instruments. Brujo did NOT "create" this instrument. It is an original idea from Xavier Quijas.,,,,

Also if you want to call it Mexica or Mexika is fine you did understand enough to tell me about it.
Also the way we communicate now is not ours... I mean grammar!!!
For you information Mexico is in North America and the Mexika People come form a place called Aztlan or Aztalan in Wisconsin's .....
And before the Aztec was the Mayan people and the Aztec just carry and re-use information from the Mayan's and before they were more....other cultures...

It's a multi-pipe. I thought it was more like a pan-pipe in the beginning, but it is more like a Swiss army knife musical instrument.

very intersting, a complex flute, would take a while to learn to play.
