Hey, i dont much about trucks but i have a 2001 dodge ram and i want to do what you did to this ram...

So can you give me links to what rims, tires, leveling kit and the total cost of everything? thanks

Sold it for $4300 with a blown transmission. She's now rolling the streets of Las Vegas. Lol I only hope that the new owners are treating her nice!

@moparsrock Yeah it had the stock 4.10's, should have went with 4.56's. Pulling a trailer from Southern California to Arizona was a little too much. If I could go back in time, I would have changed the gears and got the trans serviced. Even with the blown trans, I wish I would have just replaced it. Got a Foxbody Mustang now though. =)

Do your tires rub at all bc i bought 35in nitto mud tires and i am waiting for my leveling kit to get here so i can put them on but my buddy keeps telling me that they well not fit and that i will not be able to turn. So i showed him this video and he still doesnt beleive that they will clear when i turn.

@browning835 The only time they would rub is when I had the wheels turned while hitting a driveway or speed bump at a some what fast speed. Didn't rub on the control arms, just a bit on the wheel well. I did have BFG All Terrains though and the tread on those are fairly mild. Get a 2.5 leveling kit though, nothing less. Goodluck!

@browning835 i just read that the off-road option adds 1.5 or 2.5 inches (dont remember which) of lift i dont know if its true or not but you should probably look into it.

@MrWaters199 I'd upgrade the shocks while you're down there. I upgraded mine to some Bilstein 5100 after I had the spacers on there and I noticed a huge difference!

@ChiefBigMeat I think they were Tuff Country but I'm not exactly sure. I'm sure the cheap ones on ebay will do just fine.

@Cyrus057 I could tell a big difference. The ride got a little better with small road bumps. It was a lot less of a springy ride. Would have been better if I would have installed Bilsteins in the rear but never got to it. But yeah, I would definitely recommend them.

@R700GuARDIaN I'm pretty sure you'll need to get a leveling kit @ minimum. I honestly would save up for a legit lift kit though. RCD Suspension and Skyjacker was what I was interested in. My old neighbor had a 6" RCD lift on his Dodge and it looked sooo nice it made my truck look stock.

@TheSupadupafly1983 It's got a 2.5 coil spacer up front. According to Papabugs71 it's block is 2" higher in the rear compared to Non-AWL.

That is incorrect. The AWL code (OFF-ROAD) Dodge trucks sit 2" higher that a non-AWL truck. The AWL trucks have different springs, front & rear. They also came with a trussed DANA 44, a quick ratio steering box., 17" wheels, 32" tires & 4:10 gears.

Naw it's about the same, the only real noteable difference is switching to 35" tires.

I got the tires at a place called Big 10 Tires in Georgia for about $1200. You can pick them up for cheaper at other places though. Probably around $800.

They're made by a company named Pacer. They're knock off's of the Mickey Thompson Classic's. I actually hate my rims. I want to get some black American Racing ATX series. I also wouldn't mind some Walker Evans Beadlocks. =)

I'm asking $8500 for the truck. The subs are housed in a MTX plastic molding box with the subs faced down under the back seat. I think it's a great looking box, no one notices that I even have a system. The down side about it is that it robs a little bit of foot room considering that the back seat is already a little cramped. I really like it though,
