Imagine being the bass player or drummer for U2 ?? 90% of the world has no idea who they are, they could walk the streets without disguise, their parts are relatively easy as far as bass and drums go and they are trillionaires. ; )

which is the problem with these guys? Have you heard where the streets have no name live? until you do that, shut the fuck up.. and for all the haters... U2 is not a monster band for nothing... And the imagination of the edge playing with his effects is a huge part of that. So, when u have the genious to create a riff like that, or the fly, or 1000 more, come on and talk WTF u want...

The great thing about the Edge is that he created his own style, his own voice, and that voice inspired lots of players. To me effects are just expression tools, they don´t make you a better player, but they help you to create landscapes and textures, if you suck as a guitarist, you´ll suck "with or without them" ha,ha...

Hey you! For most of you The Edge is an "effect guy" but the sound he creates comes just from his musicianship and music taste. That's his style. Effects only "put a strawberry on the top of the cake" :) The Edge San play without any effects. Sunday Bloody Sunday was recorded with an ordinary 70's strat and fender amp. That allowed him to create that raw sound, so characteristic for this song about anger, regret, sorrow and hope. The Edge is one of my kind even if he isn't a virtuosso :)
