We give shit about animal cruelty because we aren't sociapaths. Most people don't get angry about all the other animal cruelty because they don't see it and so don't realise it is going on.

As for burgers, as long as it was treated well and killed as kindly as possible, I'm happy to eat them because it is an unfortunate part of being an omnivore.

Besides burgers taste really nice, cats in bins - they don't do anything for my palate.

I totally agree with what you are saying. I love my cats very much, but people have their priorities all messed up. My daughter is a HUGE animal fan...I was listening to her watching an Urban Legand movie and she went through the human death scenes with a little sharpness of breath and an 'oh no', but when she thought a puppy was getting killed she was completely traumatized!!! Isn't that just like the world today, though! priorities all messed up. Sure animal abuse is a horrible thing...

I think there is a certain innocence about animals particularly pets that makes some people feel more protective towards them than humans. Online, abuse toward a cat is just going to generate far more outrage than to any other animal, because internet comms have a special love for cats. I despise animal cruelty and I despise what Mary Bale did. What annoyed me most was that she encouraged the cat, stroked it, the cat was sweet and friendly towards her - and then she looked round carefully before dumping the cat in the bin. What she did IS a 'big deal'. It was cruel.

She deserves to be prosecuted or fined, but I don't agree with punishing violent or anti-social crimes with violent or anti-social behaviours. Therefore, the death threats are highly inappropriate.

Great video. I did a video about the cat in the bin saga and i do have my thoughts on it also. There was a far worse case here in the UK involving a dog that has been over shadowed by this story and i will be doing a video about that later today, the dog story is far worse but already because of the cat in the bin story it seems to have been forgotten. @AspergersGirl As I perceive it... this would be the same as a human placing a human baby or child into a rubbish bin. It is only a different specie, but is alive and experiencing "it's form" of emotion as a human child does. Cats brain development is basically equivalent to that of a human toddler's brain development. Around the 3 year stage. some studies have shown and I've simply observed and compared. They're very similar within an approximation. Same with Horses, Pigs and Cows, etc :o)

Cats are pets that are owned by people worrying about where it is. Cows are not pets and they're not social animals, breeding has turned them into mindless milking/meat machines. So there's a big difference there. Millions and millions of people have cats or dogs and love them whilst there are much fewer farmers and they have no emotional bonds with their animals. I wouldn't be surprised if the crazy attempted cat-murderer gets her teeth kicked in or worse, and I would feel no sympathy for her:)

@AspergersGirl ...I've grown up around cows... fact is that they are VERY SOCIAL beings as cats and dogs. They chase and play with one another and communicate with eachother and even with those who "choose" to have a compassionate friendship with them. They are certainly not machines, but they are certainly thought of as machines... that is very saddening but O too true :o(

They and pigs and chickens and so forth all have a social way of living if they are allowed the freedom to do so. PEACE :)
