Yup. Pretty early on, Stane's suit was sort of a cross between War Monger and Crimson Dynamo. But they went with War Monger, and incorporated Crimson Dynamo into Mickey Rourke's Whiplash in Iron Man 2.

He created Iron man, Spider-man, X-men, Fantastic Four, and so many more. So basically without him he wouldn't have had some of the superhero movies.
