The sad fact is there is so much talent around these days but we live in such a 'throw away' society that real talent gets lost in the crowd. Having said that, I get the feeling these two girls just want to perform, whether it's for 2 people or 2,000. They deserve a long and successful career and from the evidence so far I can't see that being a problem.

Walked into a music club on the Lower East Side in New York last summer to listen to some god music and to my surprise up on stage as the last act came First Aid Kit. Did not expect to see fellow Swedes perform in a club in New York, and they killed it. I felt very proud to be from Sweden just then.

I saw First Aid Kit in Brighton and was totally blown away. I had both their albums and had seen youtube videos but was totally not expecting the sheer energy they put into it- they really showed a great sense of humour and engaged with the audience. They're also the only band I've ever seen who are better live than on record. They have some seriously good voices, that I've really never heard rivalled.
