I am not saying janis is a bad singer, There is a distinction (In my mind) between beauty and soul, beauty is more clean and pure while soul is gritty and personal and from the heart. Beethoven's Fur elise is beautiful, Janis Joplin's mercedes benz is soulful. Hopefully I have cleared myself up
her voice is noooooot beautiful. its good, but beautiful is absolutely not the word to use. her voice is like bob dylan's voice, its not liek theyre terrible singers but they are not by any means beautiful singers
