i remember doing the jerk to this song..... i was soooooo cool/hot (i cant remember how you were supposed to be back then ) LOL.. thankyou for sharing brings back great memories
for those who were not 'THERE.' you just don't know what IT was like. let me try to enlighten you: when this song came on the radio, believe me, people STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE. we had NEVER heard anything like this. out of hard driven, grinding down lyrics and tempo, came this SIMPLE, ELEGANT, sad LOVE song. and a VOICE of unmistakable delight. IT stood OUT like a red dot on a WHITE sofa.
aw i remember when i was a toddler and i had a twitty doll that sang this song!and then this became my grandmas heirloom in her house and i was still fond of seeing it...until my step grandpa dieted then his children kicked my grandma to the curve and claimed there house, now every album, heirlooms, trinket now gone and probably in the trash and that includes my twitty and my little red bike....well i just felt like venting so yeah...
age does matter when it comes to lot of today's kids who like great stuff like this and the heck with today's junk pop.like this one for many years.love it:)
ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i wish i grew up in the 60s and up.. but not i was born in 1997. this music is so great.!!!! wish they still had it.. but now its hip hop which is ok
I was riding in my brother's car, heard this song, and screamed. The beat, the voice (Diana Ross). That was the beginning of a love affair with the Supremes and the Motown sound that has lasted until this day.
music is dead now.. we need to go back to the oldies.. were they compose real music with emotion..and passion.. not because they wanted to come up fast, like most artist are doing, making songs about nothing..making no sense..
ok we get the point. you're young and you don't listen to today's music because you feel this is superior. doesn't make you superior, believe it. It just means you have better taste is all.
@Lyndon1947 where the heck did you read that i was superior? I'm a "kid" too but I'm just tired of hearing it. I'm not better than my friends because I like this kind of music.
im 13 and this is one of my favorite songs.... i love the oldies lol. when i was younger i would always be at my grandmas house and she would have this type of music playing all the time
This song is so good. I can't believe that horrible pussy cat dolls ruined it. Almost made me not want to listen to the song anymore. Thank god for the internet, I can always go back to the orginal best version.
None of the Supremes liked this song when it was presented to them. They didn't want to sing it. Little did they know at the time that this was the song that was the beginning of their legacy, which would forever catapult them into superstar history.

The Supremes were just a sexy and glamorious sister group from the sky above.
These were gifted, dynamic and an all-round honies who gave you all the love that satisfy the souls forever and ever.
Sister Diana Ross, Sister Mary Wilson and the late Sister Flo Ballard were so beautiful and they were so beautiful with their voices.
