  • this is so cute

  • for those who were not 'THERE.' you just don't know what IT was like. let me try to enlighten you: when this song came on the radio, believe me, people STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE. we had NEVER heard anything like this. out of hard driven, grinding down lyrics and tempo, came this SIMPLE, ELEGANT, sad LOVE song. and a VOICE of unmistakable delight. IT stood OUT like a red dot on a WHITE sofa.

  • Lol 9 dislikes? Is that a joke.... Losers.

  • @ipcool24 that stinks, at least you have good memories with the little doll :) I suppose that is what matters the most

  • Just heard a mashup of this song with a Justin Beiber song - it was actually really good!

  • This music would be so much more enjoyable if youtube could get it's head out of it's ass and quit acting like your typical amerikan corporation.

Listening to this great music from a bygone era on a substandard medium just hilights what a 3rd world cesspool this place has become.

  • Flo Ballard has been Dead Longer than you have been alive koeseitzzz, Flo was a fine vocalist, But Diana Ross remains a Legend

  • Flo Ballard was the heart and soul of the Supremes, and anybody who says differently is probably sleeping with Diana Ross.

  • It was a TIME....you had to be there.

  • I fucking love the Funk Brothers.

  • @bertmustin

    YES SIR!!!!

  • LOVE THIS SONNNNNNNG. I LIKE YOU.

  • GSP brought me here

  • I was riding in my brother's car, heard this song, and screamed. The beat, the voice (Diana Ross). That was the beginning of a love affair with the Supremes and the Motown sound that has lasted until this day.

  • Great song!

  • Whew, they had 12 number one hits! The best-best Motown! This song rules!

  • SUPER-Fantastic video, THANK you!

  • fudge yeah for the supremes!!!!

  • The Supremes were just a sexy and glamorious sister group from the sky above.

These were gifted, dynamic and an all-round honies who gave you all the love that satisfy the souls forever and ever.

Sister Diana Ross, Sister Mary Wilson and the late Sister Flo Ballard were so beautiful and they were so beautiful with their voices.

  • music is dead now.. we need to go back to the oldies.. were they compose real music with emotion..and passion.. not because they wanted to come up fast, like most artist are doing, making songs about nothing..making no sense..

    there oldies..but goodies.

  • @reenafuerte7 In the information text

  • ok we get the point. you're young and you don't listen to today's music because you feel this is superior. doesn't make you superior, believe it. It just means you have better taste is all.

  • @violenthues

Stop slapping the kid! We know for sure YOU are not superior.

  • @Lyndon1947 where the heck did you read that i was superior? I'm a "kid" too but I'm just tired of hearing it. I'm not better than my friends because I like this kind of music.

  • @violenthues

Go in peace my son - live long and prosper. I am glad you have expanded your horizons.

  • im 13 and this is one of my favorite songs.... i love the oldies lol. when i was younger i would always be at my grandmas house and she would have this type of music playing all the time

  • Billboard's 155th #1 hit of the rock era. God bless! RIP, Florence Ballard.

  • The ultimate!

  • Im 18 and I love this music so much, I grew up listening to this kind of music and I never stopped listening to it, I just love oldies.

  • This song is so good. I can't believe that horrible pussy cat dolls ruined it. Almost made me not want to listen to the song anymore. Thank god for the internet, I can always go back to the orginal best version.

  • None of the Supremes liked this song when it was presented to them. They didn't want to sing it. Little did they know at the time that this was the song that was the beginning of their legacy, which would forever catapult them into superstar history.

  • None of the Supremes liked this song when is was presented to them. They didn't want to sing it. Little did they know at the time that this was the song that was the beginning of their legacy, which would forever catapult them into superstar history.

  • Timeless music right here. Im 16 and still bump the oldies.

  • I would love to have been born during this time.

    The music was simply amazing.

  • ALL YOUR PROMISES!!! SMH!! LOL!

  • i've been searching and searching for this song, around 3 years really! i'm so glad i found it thanks to sound hound on my android phone :)!

  • What does age have to do with this? Pathetic people thinking they are cute, claiming how wise they are at their age. Shut the fuck up.

    This song rules anyway.

  • @DonSelwashington yeah i can't stand the "i'm only 13 and i love this music" routine.

  • @chtricolor lol yeah

  • come together , have you ever seen the rain .spirit in the sky , ride captain ride ,

get back , sympathy for the devil , papa was a rollin stone , where did our love go , the weight just my imagination' dear prudence. The song makes my top 10 list, let's give some credit to Holland–Dozier–Holland , wtihout them , Motown would have been seriously without their best writers !

Long live Berry , Lennon, Joe Strummer and rock and roll ---go away britney, madonna and rap !

  • I'm 14, and this is better than whatever autotuned crap people make now..

  • @missrandom1996 ,thank you for the great comment, why cant we have more teens like you !

  • @missrandom1996 Owl City is awesome

  • Only faggots don't know this song

  • @chambeet you're an ignorant idiot. i hope you know that

  • It's very relaxing to hear this song .

  • It was 1966 and our ironing lady Virginia used to sing this to me as she ironed. Virginia I loved you and I think of you each time this song plays! What a great song! Love ya, Peggy

  • Thank you for uploading this. I'm only 26, but this is my favorite music.

  • This is a classic as we all know, but I don't know if Diana gets credit for probably her best Supremes vocal...

  • Awesome

  • These lyrics totally describe how I'm feeling right now.

  • Where did you find the picture with The Andrews Sisters?

Lol, I tried mimicking Diana's voice, but I can't! I would've been able to mimick any voice (if it's in my range) Lol... I guess Diana is WAY better than me!

  • @beyoncetyratina

I think i found the Pic online somewhere, i think it is on Mary Wilson's Myspace.

    Thanks for da Comment

  • @suedemiddleton

Your very welcome... I just got hooked on this song as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Aren't there numerous "Mary Wilson" myspace accounts, well, anyways, thank you. I'll look. In my video (that includes the picture), I'll say "Thank you" to suedemiddleton for telling me where the picture came from. Lol ;)

  • ..........where did our love go??? =[

  • I'm only a nearly three month-old fetus, and I just love this type of music!

  • @lc1715 Oh yeah? Well my mom and dad just had sex a week ago and I'm just a two celled blastocyst and I just love this type of music!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • this music and song kinda makes me wish i could have at least been alive for awhile in the 50s 60s and 70s ;)

  • i love this song even though im 14 :P

  • Beautiful Tune in my heart till the day i day.........x

  • They apparently didn't like the song when they first heard it because they thought it was too stripped-down and primitive compared to some of the other songs Motown was producing at the time. But of course that's what made it a huge hit. Nothing like it had been heard before...

  • love this song

  • im only 15,, and i LOVE this song.

  • @bjeremy123456789 what do you mean your ONLY 15 i have listened to this since i was little lol i think you have to appreciente old music to like new music my little cousin loves this song she only 7

  • @yellowbananamonkey I Strongly Agree! :)

  • DIZ REAllY FiRME Ey ;)

  • i'm nearly 17 and think this music is so much better than the rubbish that keeps coming out nowadays! motown was the best sound!!

  • @yellowbananamonkey word up yo

  • i agree some old music are much better than the ones people listen too now

  • @yellowbananamonkey This is REAL music unlike today's crap.

  • @yellowbananamonkey i couldn't agree more! i used to listen to some right crap when i was 17 (i'm 30 now) and am glad that some teenagers have good music taste. good on you!

  • @yellowbananamonkey im 13 and i agree with u

  • @yellowbananamonkey I agree!

  • @yellowbananamonkey

Yeah right: Radiohead, James Blake, Andrew Bird all suck! Grow up and stop crying.

  • @heliosuperjos ok first of all i'm not crying, thats ridiculous...and i was referring to the chart music!! there's plenty of music i like that comes out now but it's mostly low-key artists!

  • @yellowbananamonkey and nobody cares how old you are

  • @footymaster123456789 jeez calm down it's just a comment

  • @footymaster123456789 well somebody always has to point out that there only this age and listen to this kind of music....it doesnt matter at all ..do you want a cookie or something??

  • @yellowbananamonkey SO glad to know there are younger people like yourself out there who know real quality! That is indeed comforting! ..I was beginning to wonder if the whole generation was being hopelessly blinded by today's contemporary dreck! There is hope after all--THANK you!

  • @yellowbananamonkey Whats your age got to do with it...

  • @j1mmyizeya who cares

  • @yellowbananamonkey exactly.

  • @yellowbananamonkey I really hate this sort of comment. Why does everyone feel the need to comment and say "I'm only a teenager and I like old music! Aren't I unique and interesting?"? I work in a music store - plenty of people of all ages buy and talk about every musical genre and time-period. Yes, a lot of people your age listen to just mainstream pop - but not even close to enough that you are in any way a rarity.

  • @ProjectCobalt and in no way was i suggesting im the only one...i was merely saying this is what i listen to...and if you think you're the first one to write how much you hate this comment then you'd be wrong!

  • The song that started it all, for The Supremes. Their first #1

  • lol i gotta learn this song in 20 minutes :]]

    good song! 5/5

  • Mary Wilson, what a beautiful lady...

  • The Supremes must be the first all girl group to hit the charts..................great song

  • I love the oldies. These songs are heading straight for my iPod. :p

  • Thats what im talking about:) I got Most oldie songs on my Ipod

  • i love their hair, voices, clothes, music, style and just everything! you're so right, heavymetalrulz123 .

  • What a thrilling time for a ten year old music nut like me back in 1964...the Beatles and the Supremes were my favorite groups and there was so much beautiful music all over the radio.

  • you're making me very sad to be growing up in this period!

  • It's okay Mcfly...it wasn't all peaches and cream back then for me...there's still beauty in the world...you must want to find it

  • think mc fly think

  • l love this song so much is my favorite

  • i loveee this song :) i wish more music like this was made still

  • You've got some great and rare pictures here. Who was the other female group pictured with the Supremes?

  • Many thanks for posting this classic by the Supremes excellent quality sound and photo-shots as well ........................cheers

  • flo is so pretty

  • where did our love go-one of the best songs ever♥:) too bad my love for him left wen he was on the run:(

  • I LOVE Diana sooo much. She's a true original. This song is amazing. There are a couple REALLY good covers. Soft Cell's was pretty good, but if you've never heard the J. Geils Band's version...CHECK IT OUT!!! Both their studio and live versions are great. I think J. Geils Band's cover is the best! Love this song!

  • Too bad people in the late 90's didn't know about this. They listened to crappy Destiny's Child, which is terrible. A great girl group like this doesn't exist today.

  • I may be a metalhead but I love the supremes Diana's voice is amazing

  • :D ♥

  • Me too.

  • Likewise.

  • CHRISTINA WHERE DID OUR LOVE GO
