you dont actualy need a clutch gear on the linear actuaters as thay have their own internal clutch =)

Yes they do, but have you heard it slip? Sounds awfully :)

yeah they do sound awfullwhen it slips but i find the clutch gears slip too easily and so i cant get the full power of the linear actuater

the only way to solve this would pobably be to gear it so you can get more power on it =)

Actually, linear actuators are much more expensive, as they are about 15$ each compared to pneumatic cylinders which cost about 5$ each.

Check out bricklink, I've seen working (used) pneumatic cylinders on there for about 3$ each, lowest I've seen the actuators at are about 10$ each.
