Boot up time has nothing to do with it. That's why a 1990's mac will still boot faster than an Alienware m18x. Vista has way more features, and I say it's better than XP. Vista has had negative steryotypes on it's back for a long time, and I can say XP is LESS reliable than Vista. I have 1 Vista computer and 3 dead XP computers. All BSOD, when I haven't even had ONE BSOD on Vista. Stop downloading Porn, and stop blaming Windows Vista.

My Vista has at least 50 tasks running all the time, processor use is over 10% even if everything is closed and no programs running. I had to take system restore at least 20 times since I bought it, and still it won't let me install Open Office, Java, iTunes. It crashes several times per day and every time I try to install an application. Windows XP... my old PC had Windows XP, it was so easy to use, no software fail, very rare to crash and it was easy to sync to my mp3 and mobile phone!

What I meant with tasks is the processes or whatever you call it, they are important to run the whole operative system, like desktop manager, windows explorer (explorer.exe), rundll32.exe, iaanotif.exe, lsass.exe, lsm.exe, ehtray.exe and like 50 others. I mean on Windows XP I only had under 20, and it used like no resources and RAM compared to Vista.
