  • 7月のこの時点から半年近く経った今でも政府の対応に大した変化はない

we are getting killed slowly but surely by our own government ..

  • Finally the truth .. someone with authority willing to talk about it.. I'm in japan now.. I just got my gammatwin dosimeter.. but now I think I can't be careful enough. I should keep my trip short and try to detox when i get back to Australia.

  • what is this mangas? plz

  • Scary. Further truth is in the book "Fukushima 3/11 & Japan's Government. WHY IT SUCKS" on sale at Amazon. Strongly recommended. Thx m(_ _)m

  • When asked what he was doing about the methane gas problem due to too many cattle on the planet, Ron answered," Why, I'm eatin the cows!"

If you want to know what I am doing to help clean up the radioactivity, I'll say, " Why, I'm breathing."

  • The only thing grossly negligent here is this guy's wig.

  • @Deagol1000 I'm sure if this was happening to you then you wouldn't be trying to make funny out of the worst disaster in human history. Your comment shows how disgusting of a person you are in a time when so many people's lives are turned completely upside down. And the only thing grossly negligent here is your human existence and your pathetic comment. People like you make me sick

  • If all you good folk around the world in support of the truth and concerned about the health of the good people of the Fukushima area and Touhoku disaster region can kindly twitter, facebook, tweet etc on to your social networks maybe we can get this English version to go over 1,000,000 and even viral too. This would help put world pressure and support getting fast, effective and healthy solutions to this ongoing disaster that threatens so many adults and children now and in the future.

  • Today (August 24) I just checked on the Japanese Youtube site and there are many uploadings of Dr Kodama's impassioned and expert speach in Japanese. My guestimate is that collectively the number in Japanese is getting up to 1,000,000 views and still growing. The one with the largest number of views is 549,659 and growing every day. Dr Kodama is a leading authority on the effects of radiation on people's health at the University of Tokyo Spread his words please for the sake of our children

  • @tokyocounseling Are there any videos with English subtitles?

  • @lilnicky47 If you click on "cc" button at the bottom of the screen, you can see English subtitles.

  • @tokyobrowntabby Oh I meant other videos but i'll just check lol

  • @lilnicky47 Oops, sorry!

  • thank you for posting this. I hope the whole world will see it!

  • I understood "Kilogram", oh there are subs? Awesome.

  • Tokyobrown your video information effort is 100 times better than all japanese medias combined!!

  • Today, finally one of the MSM "Mainichi Newspaper" did an interview article with Prof. Kodama. They can't ignore him anymore. His original long version video, which had been removed by YouTube for a while for some reason, suddenly reappered a few days ago. And it has been accessed more than 444,000 times!

  • @tokyobrowntabby: don't mind i shared the text in english... was even more easy to read... thank you same, when i clik on the button appeared red ecxlamation mark on the left of cc

  • @meatloaf935 I used to be that way. Exactly the same. Then a friend told me to upgrade my Flashplayer, then that problem was solved. Anyway, I'm glad you found the transcripts.

  • for me this button doesn't work ;(

  • @meatloaf935 Upgading your Adobe Flash Player might work. Could you do it and try again?

  • Great work, Tokyobrowntabby.

I bet no big phat media gave any coverage to this kind of voice.

  • My deepest admiration for this brave, sound and brilliant speech. What has happened with the company TEPCO, owner of the Fukushima plant? Have the executives and board of directors been sent to trial? Is the company going to be nationalized and all its assets sold out, so that the gov. can invest the money in the actions proposed by Prof. Kodama? Where are the insurance companies? Why do the people not turn against its government?

  • Why are we not seeing this on CNN? Thank you for posting!

  • Is there a transcript of the speech in English? The sentences seem to be cut off.

  • @covelony2 Please visit EX-SKF blog at: ttp://ex-skf.blogspot.com/2011/07/professor-tatsuhiko-kodama-of-tokyo.html (please add "h" to the top)

  • This event likely released a variety of radioisotopes in addition to the various iodines, cesiums and strontiums. So I was a little surprised that Dr. Kodoma was primarily concerned about Sr90. While Sr90 sequesters in the bone, it releases only a relatively weak beta particle. Regardless, this event will no doubt result in widespread cancers and possibly other illnesses. Dr. Kodoma showed great courage in speaking out. --RMiller

  • Thank you for posting this.

  • Many thanks for making an English translation of this speech available! I hope more people get to see this. (What if you tried posting this as a video response to the original video so people would have a better chance of finding it?)

  • This is the last time, we will see anything true about radiation in the government. Professor Tatsuhiko Kodama will be attacked as unscientific by: ICRP, IAEA, UN, japanese government. This will happen to ALL whistleblowers and independent scientists and doctors. They will get their budget cut, and loose their job. It's in Full Force now and since 1986. Please search for: STERNGLASS; BUSBY, JABLOKOV. more on INDEPENDENTWHO dot INFO. It's war - since 1953 - with Eisenhower's "Atoms for Peace".

  • The japanese government ist advised by the atomic industry's speaker THE IAEA, to declar war against the japanese citizens. The only HELP and compensation which radiation victims in Japan will get is the same which the russians in 1986 got and get: CENSORSHIP, underminded law and undermined freedom of speech. Fake research by the IAEA and the gagged WHO (wtih the IAEA contract WHA 12-40 of 1959), increased radiation limits: 20 milliSievert / year for children: Thats 50 (!) mammograms.

  • In Japan there is strong government support by academics of national universities of which Tokyo University is the top one. Such academics that always support the government stance (even in the cases when logic points to that it is a wrong view) these academics still will keep on supporting (regardless of which political party is in power). There is a word "GOYOU-GAKUSHA" for such academics.

In case of Prof. Kodama, who also is an MD, it is very remarkable that he spoke out against the governm

  • @SETAGAYAN

Prof. Kodama sees the Titanic against an iceberg and no one dares to drive change of tack! He has the professional competence to recognized and the medical authority to say it!

He reminds me of Professor Toshiso Kosako, who resigned for the same reasons. But it can not withdraw all good people - they have to fight for the interests of the citizens!

He recognizes powerlessness of the authorities. Because of the longevity of the radiation, he calls for swift action...!

  • @SETAGAYAN

Though I am a graduate of Tokyo University and some of my classmates are high level government officials, I can not deny your opinion about the stance of Japanese government and academics in general.

I admire your accurate and good knowledge about the reality of today's Japan.

But, among Japanese people, there had been always exceptionally brave and candit person like Prof. Kodama.

I rememmber Mr. Tanaka Shouzou's anti polution speech at Imperial Congress 120 years ago.

  • This guy has some ball's and honour.Bravo.

  • @lilshook1

The research Prof. Kodama is referring to in the video is "Urinary bladder carcinogenesis induced by chronic exposure to persistent low-dose ionizing radiation after Chernobyl accident," Oxford Journal, vol, 30, issue 11, pp.. 1821-1831.

The research paper if available on the net.

This title is on the presentation slides Prof. Kodama prepared for this speech.

  • Do you have credible verifiable collaborating stories for this or no?

  • Dios mio, questo non è buono!

    Gambare Kodama sama

  • Please don't miss the "Part 2" of this video.

Also, there are German subtitled version and French translation.

Please find the information in "Show more" section.

  • it is folks like you that think that things like this rely on 'party lines' that allow governments to do this kind of stuff...divide and conquer, pretty simple..sorry, but there is no tea party in Japan for you to complain about, even though that's what you've been trained to do

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, the japanese government is as incompetent as the american one... one can only wonder what diet that lower house is on. In the US, the tea party would block radiation cleanup because of the cost, like with healthcare, the final solution is to kill the poor and the future generations because all that matters are the super-rich.

  • Thank you, thank you so much for the video! I will spread the wise and courageous words from Prof. Kodama. Let's share this video with people, media, IGOs, INGOs, government around the world and put pressure on Japanese gov. Japanese people are mostly unfamiliar with the practice of raising voice. it depends on us who can disseminate prof kodama's words to international community. We can play a huge role tackling this major transnational issue.

  • Thanks you soooo much for the english-subs!! really appreciate it!

  • Thanks for the video. Those poor Japanese people. We need to fire every Politician in the world, they were never there to help the people. I suppose we would still have the problem of the so called elite. The only thing elite about them is they are great at being the opposite of everything thing that is good in humanity.

  • @LondonLanguageLounge

"cc" button is located at the bottom of the screen, toward the right, next to "360p button." I hope you can find it.

  • @tokyobrowntabby

CC button not working - any ideas how to fix it? Offer a transcript?

  • @voxmentorpresents

Upgrading your Adobe Flash Player might work. Could you try?

  • where is the cc button? .... cant get translation

  • @LondonLanguageLounge control + command keys

  • Hi, thanks very much for the upload. Do you know when was this speech was made?

  • @Jiyuu89 Sorry you have in fact written that it was July 27th.

  • Thank YOU for the translation!

I am happy to see that not all ppl in Japan are rad- frozen, at least this prof - and translator seem to serve their nation...

  • Thanks you !!!! one of the most important pieces !!

  • Good stuff.. but sad. Thanks for the subtitles. I think the only way Japan will change their current path to destruction is from outside pressure. They have to be 'embarrassed' internationally in order to change internally.

Kodamal-sensei's got some Godzilla balls, because he's definitely disturbing the 'wa'.

  • important video, thanks for the translation! :)
