  • am from the uae and my family had a camel ranch in the empty quarter close to the borders of oman and ksa and i was raised there am 25 years old now its been 11 years since we left this place and i really miss it looking at this video brings back way back

  • Uncharted 3 brought-me here

  • thumbs up if u came here cuz of uncharted

  • i'm from ksa and i can't go to rub al khali becose you have at less 10 vehicles and drevers most by very very smart in rub al khali

  • @k7d5 first trip was a disaster cause we got stuck too many times. 2nd trip is this one with tipped Rover. 3rd, 4th 5th trips were very smooth. You learn from your mistakes right. We are usually 5-6 cars.

  • @amm009uk ok are you Crossing al rub al khali waht the Interest theng there

  • How did u manage to get the rover up?

  • @raza514 It was winched up onto its wheels by 2 cars. It was then winched up the hill by the same 2 cars. The Rover had an engine problem so was lacking power and thats why it flipped over. Nightmare getting it home!

  • @amm009uk

Sheesh that sucks...I can't even imagine tbh how u ppl got home. I guess it was coz of the load on top...

  • Hello Welcome to Saudi Arabia and I thank you and appreciation

  • Hi - someone has an idea if it is possible to cross the 250 km between street in the north ksa and oman, got my visa now for oman, egypt and syria, want to cross ksa with a multiple entry round trip visa and my subaro libero .... omanis said to me in germany, i could pass the border from ksa, but on in oman told me, i shoudl not try as saudis would block the rub al khali crossing ...

  • @myrrrdin plz give me mail in youtube ! blessed desert @ll .... hope my libero will not "die" in the end ... :- ]

  • @myrrrdin I believe you can drive thru KSA to Oman with a transit visa. You have a time limit on that. The Rub Al Khali is in south of KSA and you need more than 1 vehicle for safety and plenty of experience on sand in a good high 4x4. Typically its cat n mouse with the authorities in the dessert and especially close to borders. Suggest you stay on the road for safety.

  • @amm009uk: k - man ... well the libero is not that high but guess with wise not sand dune mad crossing way it should work ... where to get people who do the trip with me? give me a note if someone wants to try that ... i will use the road in the north at the uae border to get to midst of the desert than the rest elsehow ... skype me at myrrrdin ....

  • @amm009uk your right, but will try to take the piste which crosses the rub al khali today ....

  • @myrrrdin I HAVE CROSSED THE EMPTY QUARTER FROM HARADH TOWARDS URUQ AL KHARKEER IN LAND CRUISER RUBAH,WITH LAND CRUISER PICKUP AND OTHER L.C. RUBAH AS BACKUP CAR. CROSSING THIS TREACHEROUS TERRAIN IN A SINGLE CAR IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS.I ADVICE YOU NOT TO CROSS THIS DESERT IN YOUR SUBARO.RUB AL KHALI IS NOT A PLACE FOR TEST DRIVING AND EXPERIMENTATION.

  • @malickph1 hi ... thanks for your serious warnung. I am going not for an experiment but trying to find a convoy of saudis in the ksa and than going not through the dunes but through the piste, which exists nowadays to ramlat ,,,,

  • good video and good choice of music

  • وش جابهم هنا شياطيين والله

  • I just returned from Saudi, and we have done the Rub al Khali 3x's. We have visited the high dunes and also did a west to east crossing in December 2008. Did one from the Oman border to riyadh. took 15 days to do.

  • Very beutiful; but too hot for me

  • the hardest thing about rub alkali is using the ground references for driving there, because basically your track will be gone in a few minutes also the dunes as you noticed are pretty much the same I mean you can't recognize them not like the other Saudi sand that I've been to.

  • this is probably the northern edge of the desert, nobody in the world has actually never been to the center of this great desert because it is impossible, the dunes in most areas are more then 50 stories high

  • very beautiful. someday i wanna travel through the desert too. oh man i love it.

  • Loved the video guys and thanks for uploading it here!! I knew it...that LandRover will end up like that!! Hope no one was hurt. Loved the roaring dune avalanche although I heard it many times!!
