@kja427 no he didn't die, thank the Lord. He just doesn't perform with the band on tours anymore. He has Parkinson's which has all sorts of complications, including issues with balance and uncontrollable tremors. You can see it a little in this vid when he keeps putting his hand in his pocket. It trembles a bit. :-( They mentioned him recently on the Soul Train Awards dedication that was done for them. They said he'd be watching. He's an awesome dude.

@mslegacy01 That's correct. I remember when he actually came out and finally made public the news of his Parkinson's Disease. It broke my heart. I fell in love with him when I was about two or three years old. He has always been a great inspiration in my life and always will be. He was actually diagnosed in 1987 but it didn't become noticeable until the early 1990's. The shake that moved his right arm was noticeable if watched closely. He performs occasionally now. All and all, he's doing okay.
