(1/2)how to make working *.bat file for 3d analyze/game playing, first go to folder options and choose "Hide extensions for known file types", than go to half life 2 game (also available on half life 2 episode 1, 2) folder (here is hl2.exe file and others folders, usually this folder is in program files), than make new file --> text file, and than rename it to name_what_do_you_want.bat than choose yes and you have empty bat file, press right mouse button on that and choose "edit", than will open

What did you chose for EXE file? Or if you used earlier version of 3D analyze, what did you chose for DLL path?

When I select hl2.exe and click on ''run'', the game doesn`t start (of course) because hl2.exe is only the base of this game.

I can only run this game from a shortcut.

P.S I have the non steam version.

Any suggestons?

@Latvietis96 first i ran the game from 3d analyser the game crashed after i ran without 3d analyser it worked

Or maybe I have to type in console mat_dxlevel 81?

@Latvietis96 if i play without 3d analyzer i have to play it in 640*480 and low settings if i change settings game crashes so i use 3d analyzer

But my PC is actually a big crap- 256mb RAM, 1.70 CPU, Nvidia Geforce4 Mx-440 DirectX7

@Latvietis96 select force SW Tnl in performance,select all in hardware limits,select both force anisotropic filtering,emulate cube maps,select pixel shader 1.4 and both low and high precision shader and save shaders file,tick save programs to file and in misc force 100hz,performance mode,force 16 bit zbuffer with stencil and save batch file and add forceddll and hook_3da.dll in game folder and run the game.
