I cannot save at all on your app. I have tried many times, pushing the "Save State" and "Save State to New File" buttons, but nothing ever saves or shows up on the main screen. PLEASE HELP, I LOVE THE APP BUT WON'T PLAY IF I CAN'T SAVE!

@METALMAN4Wii Nope, this is only available using a jailbroken iPad, an up to 4 jailbroken iPhones or iPod Touch's. If Nintendo should sue anyone for making this possibility to play non-iOS games, it would be the developer, or the people who host the repository where the application is downloaded from.

The apps work great! I have had one issue...hoping someone can help...when you are done with a game, how do you exit without clicking the home button?

If you don't have this on your iPad, you are missing out!

This app is SICK. Almost sick enough for me to jailbreak my ipad to get. However, I am not interested in using an iDevice's touch controls to play the games. I would really like a wiimote support or something else, I just can't do the touch controls.

@ziaolol yeah. the only problem is that a wiimote only has 2 buttons while an actual snes controller has 4. the thing is though, i bought 2 usb snes controllers off ebay and i use them for actual emulation on my mac/pc. maybe if u could use the camera connection usb kit for the ipad to use the snes usb controllers to control this emulator, that would be SICK!!!!!

Try restarting both apps randomly if it doesn't connect. The controller has to have BlueTooth, so iPod Touch 1G won't work. I had a difficult time getting my water-damaged iPhone3G (the water damage made it lose its WiFi ability), but after a whiile, it worked. Hope this helps!

To all of the users who can't save states:

I found a fix

1. SSH into your iPad

2. Go to User/Media/ROMs

3. Set permissions on the "SNES" folder to "777" (without " s)

If you don't know hot to SSH or set permissions, just YouTube / Google it. There are plenty of tuts out there.

A HUGE THANKS to WhereTheWoozleWasn't for this AWESOME APP. Many users including myself find this to be a great app, and I sincerely thank you for your work. Thank you very much for this great app.

and add the ROMs.

If you don't know how to do this, Google / Youtube is your friend. There are plenty of tutorials out there. Hope this helps!

In one respect this is cool. On alot of other respects it's not. My 2 year old laptop can do this and I can actually plug in a REAL controller. Between having to own a iPad and iPhone and have to jail break them both. It's not worth all the hassle and the laptop can do it all way better. However if you already own both and wanna brag to your friends what your stuff can do, then it's cool. However I wouldn't want to play any games at length with an iPhone controller....yuck!

I didn't set out to make anything insubstantial. It's cool, but as another blogger said it's just a gimmick or a novelty. It's more of a "look at what I can do" sort of thing. It's nothing to go rush out and buy an iPad for and definitely not the greatest way to control an oldschool game. I suppose if it's all you got, then it could come in handy.....but so could a laptop with a 10 dollar wired controller and be more fun.

Amazing demo of technology, but completely useless from a gameplay standpoint. It is simply IMPOSSIBLE to accurately play even the simplest of games without actual buttons.

My Droid with the game gear rubber controller is amazing, I even have shoulder buttons thanks to the camera and volume control. It is nearly exactly like holding an actual SNES pad.

@melcrose Impossible? That's a little bit exaggerated. It wouldn't take too long to become just as good at touching a screen as buttons (and in fact you could get better response time this way). The mechanical concept is the same -- the only difference is feedback, which is not terribly necessary in this case.

Perhaps you have not played many games with a control scheme like this, or you have only played games that use a joystick-like directional control.
