Shaky because it's so light, you need a tripod or a steady-cam for it. You can make a steadycam yourself cheap and easy. All you really need is to have something connected to it that is a pole that weights it down so that when you move your hands, it will have to move the weight as well.

yes, at my store it comes with appro. 6 inch tall bendable legged tripod. Pretty cool device. i have one myself. Mino HD FTW!!

I just got the Flip MinoHD yesterday. The video is definitely shaky so I am looking into getting a small tripod for it. Other than that, video quality looks great despite the long upload times to YouTube.

Does the Flip make the video a bit shaky? I noticed in this video, the picture was a bit unstable. But, I noticed you said it was cold, so you may have been shaking for a reason :) Nice video by the way!

Yes, it was me. This camera doesn't have any image stabilization options so the lightest movement when recording will result in that movement in the video.

The flip mino hd costs $230. Basically, the mino hd has a nicer form factor but the zi6 has more features and is less expensive too.

I have a youtube account (alexpaviamusic) and I just got the Flip HD, but I can't seem to find where they are stored on my computer so that I can upload them to YouTube. Originally with the FLip Ultra, my vids were saved in My Documents > My Flip Video Library...but with the HD that folder doesn't exist. Help!!!

I actually tested the Flip Mino HD, Insignia HD and the Kodak Zi6. The Kodak Zi6 has the best video quality - except under low light conditions - where it is the worst. The Flip Mino HD comes in at 2nd in terms of Video quality but is the only one of the three in which you cannot expand memory (big downer). The Insignia is the Average of all 3 products.

All three drop frames like a bitch under certain conditions.

Hey thanks for this video, I just had a question about the Flip Mino HD. I bought one today and tried it out and everything, and it's great except for one thing: when I plug the camcorder in to watch the videos, the sound playback is smooth but the actual video playback is delayed and stops/goes/stops/goes a lot. Is there a way I can fix that?

First of all, try moving the video files into your hard drive. It could be lagging because of the limited bandwidth through the USB port. Otherwise it is just your computer that cannot handle HD. Hopefully it is the first and not the second.

You can use the included software to take a frame from the video and turn it into a picture but there is no way to actually take pictures with this camera.

It is not youtube. If u play it in normal version, it's ok...but if u wanna watch it in HD,,,even if it's loaded all the way, it still drops frame.

no dude! get a vado HD, its smaller lighter, it has 8gb, mino has 4gb, and has hdmi output, also records better!, and as they say down there with mino theres no image stabilization, on vado there is
