Hello, I have a question about a song that has been recorded (I think) by this gentleman. Written in english the name of the song sounds like "Wish te been". Could somebody tell me something about this song? What does the title mean? who composed it and when? anything else?

I think that you have proplem caused by the way of Mr. Ahmed Fathi .. the way he plays oud has affected your senses to listen to the highly skilled oud players,

for your information .. according to all muscians experts in middle east among the oud players in the recent history only two well recognized before Mr. Fareed & now Mr . Abadi

please filter out your ears by listening to the Fareed , Abadi , Riad Alsonbati

then listen to Ahmed Fathi !!!!

Please if you want again to compare Amed Fathi its better to compare him to

Mr. Omar kadars , Mr. Talal Madah, Mr.Khaled Alshiekh , Mr .Rabeh Saqer

I think they are even better than him in playing oud by stages

He cant be compared to Mr.Abadi Algwhar

Farid was a good oud player, no doubt.

And same with Nasser Shamma.

I listen to many oud players around the world, not only in the arab world. Yet, Khalid has this special playing feature on the Saba scale that really makes him OWNs!

Of course other artists are great artists too, but not on Saba.. if compared to Khalid. That's my opinion.. =)
