  • Fabulousssssssss

  • @SoulxSpectre, hi Grace, thanks so much, best, Eric.

  • Hi-I think your videos are brilliant! But I was wondering if, it would be possible to obtain a copy of the piano music you used for this piece-as a friend and I are planning to do it for our school's autumn concert. Thanks and well done!

  • @doctorwhom01, hi, thanks for posting. I can't really help you with the music but it's in one of the Noel Coward song books. if you go to your local library they might be able to get it for you, otherwise I'm sure you can order it from a music shop. Take care, Eric.

  • @Ukuleleric

thanks anyway... I took you advice and I've got 3 Coward books on order so it should be in one of them!

  • I'm afraid that although in this video your acting leaves a little to be desired (but I know that it is difficult to act by yourself sometimes); you have a really wonderful flare for singing :) You're really wasted just here on YouTube. Have you never considered going on the X-Factor or Britain's Got Talent? I'd vote for you :D

  • @ZomboDeZany, hi, thanks for posting, take care, Eric.

  • After a long time off the net ... this was the first thing I had to listen to...

  • @VargasBC Hi Ewald, how's it goin'. Aw, I'm honoured, thank you so much. Hope you're well, take care, Eric.

  • Oooh, Eric, I'm sorry! I got your screen name wrong. I meant no disrespect. I suppose you (and others who read this) will know that I meant my previous comment to be addressed to Ukuleleric!! :) (wink)

  • bluewingtip, hi Lynn, no probs. Take care, Eric.

  • Hey Ostattack - I just found you on here and you're great! So, I went to your page and watched about 4 clips and thought, "now this guy is the type of talent that could do 'Mrs. Worthington' really well." Then, a few more clips down, I see this!!! A ha, I was right!! You do know it and you perform it very well!!! I'm glad I found you. Keep entertaining us with clips!

  • bluewingtip, hi Lynn, how kind, thank you so much. Love your piano playing. All the best, Eric.

  • First time I'd looked at this one! Brilliant, as usual! You do this so well!

Conundrum: Whose mum was Mrs Worthington's daugter?

    Pip.

  • Hi Pip, thanks so much. Had to look at your question twice, lol. It's like: Who wrote Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata'? Take care, Eric.

  • Funny,Excellent, Great! Long time no hear.

Please come to Austria! I invited you already(remember?) - I will do it again for this summer

  • VargasBC, hi Ewald, nice to hear from you again. Yes, I remember, and I'm most flattered that you should invite me to come to Austria. As it happens I don't do any 'live' gigs now at all, only make my litlle videos, but thanks again for thinking of me. Keep well, all the best, Eric.

  • Haha lovely!

  • Hi ostattack, thanks so much. Take care, Eric.

  • Wonderful!

  • Hi Wolf, thank you very much, Eric.

  • why isn't there humour or talent like this in the states?

  • briandrew7, hi Brian, aw, that's so nice, thanks mate. Eric.

  • Das ist wirklich gut!!! Weiter so!

  • Glykoneogenese, hi Jessi, Vielen Dank, gute Gesundheit, Eric.

  • hi people

this may sound like a lie but a fortune teller said to my mum about me befor i was born "she will have a beautiful voice but 'dont put her on the stage mrs worthington' i didnt understand it till' know

  • Hi lauradede885, thanks for comment. Is your name Laura? do you sing? And are you on the stage? And is your maiden name Worthington? These are all things that we are burning to hear! All the best, Eric.

  • To see the best talent online go to: homevideotalentshow

  • Very nice indeed. Well done. I wonder if you know about the Kenneth Williams version of this song? Basically at the very end of the last chorus, he adds three words: "or your son" spoken as an aside. So it goes...

(sung) "Dont put Your daughter on the stage"

    (spoken) "or your son!"

(sung): "Dont put your daughter on the stage!"

I only mention it because I think it is very funny and might work well with your style.

Very very good anyway and thanks for posting.

    RM

  • Hi rossmcl177, thanks for comment. No, I've never heard that version. I'll have to look out for it. All the best, Eric.

  • Well done. I hope you will post more. A delight to watch and hear your performance. I'd delight to hear "elegant party."

    /JB

  • Hi joeyknees, thank you so much. I think you might mean 'I've been to a marvelous party', anyway I'll bear it in mind. All the best, Eric.

  • You should string rogether a few and turn it into caberet act. You've actually got quite a nice timbre to your voice in the higher register

  • Hi johnster1964, thank you so much for nice comment and suggestion. Now if there are any bookers out there.............? Eric.

  • As a Coward aficianado I was tickled to see this cleverly updated piece. Very energetic and entertaining performance.

  • Hi captainpic, thank you so much, Eric.

  • Hi kanukgirl, thank you so much, very kind. Eric.

  • Dear Sir Noel, thank you so much for your kind comment, coming as it does from the 'Master' himself I am greatly honoured. I can imagine that witty aphorisms are tumbling out of yourself and dear Oscar with gay abandon whilst you play your game. Eric.

  • This is Mr. Coward, posting from the beyond. I so rarely peruse the electric interweb that I was delighted to see the my old hits infused with new life. Smashing!!! Couldn't have done it better myself ( oh, perhaps in my hayday, but as of late the flesh is, well inconsequential.) Must away dear boy, I'm late for croquet with Mr. Wilde. Cheers.

  • I Found the original by Noel Coward on Napster..Eric you do it MUCH BETTER!!!!!!

  • Hi vampireratt, Aw shucks, but I have dear Noel to thank for writing it. Mind you for all I know he's probably in limbo somewhere tearing his hair and screaming 'they're murdering my songs on You Tube!' Eric.

  • Maybe Mrs. Worthington should not put her daughter on the stage...but someone should put Eric on the stage!!!!BRAVO!!!!

  • Hi vampireratt, thank you so much for comment. Eric.

  • Jeremy Irons - Last Night of the Proms!

  • Brilliant! Very well done + the extra refrain :-)

I will mail you - you might wanna come and perform in Austria

  • Hi VargasBC, sorry I didn't post comment before, but thanks for kind words. Incidentally, the last verse was apparently written by Noel Coward. I found it a biography of him. Had to adapt the last line however as it was a bit blasphemous. Eric.

  • I listen to this nearly every night. I confess. And I feel bad about it, cause I'd like to give you some moneyssssssssss. My mail is known, send me your wishes :-) You deserve it.

  • Hi VargasBC, thanks for comment. Just to be appreciated for one's humble efforts is worth more than gold. All the best, Eric.
