Hi-I think your videos are brilliant! But I was wondering if, it would be possible to obtain a copy of the piano music you used for this piece-as a friend and I are planning to do it for our school's autumn concert. Thanks and well done!
@doctorwhom01, hi, thanks for posting. I can't really help you with the music but it's in one of the Noel Coward song books. if you go to your local library they might be able to get it for you, otherwise I'm sure you can order it from a music shop. Take care, Eric.
I'm afraid that although in this video your acting leaves a little to be desired (but I know that it is difficult to act by yourself sometimes); you have a really wonderful flare for singing :) You're really wasted just here on YouTube. Have you never considered going on the X-Factor or Britain's Got Talent? I'd vote for you :D
Oooh, Eric, I'm sorry! I got your screen name wrong. I meant no disrespect. I suppose you (and others who read this) will know that I meant my previous comment to be addressed to Ukuleleric!! :) (wink)
Hey Ostattack - I just found you on here and you're great! So, I went to your page and watched about 4 clips and thought, "now this guy is the type of talent that could do 'Mrs. Worthington' really well." Then, a few more clips down, I see this!!! A ha, I was right!! You do know it and you perform it very well!!! I'm glad I found you. Keep entertaining us with clips!
VargasBC, hi Ewald, nice to hear from you again. Yes, I remember, and I'm most flattered that you should invite me to come to Austria. As it happens I don't do any 'live' gigs now at all, only make my litlle videos, but thanks again for thinking of me. Keep well, all the best, Eric.
this may sound like a lie but a fortune teller said to my mum about me befor i was born "she will have a beautiful voice but 'dont put her on the stage mrs worthington' i didnt understand it till' know
Hi lauradede885, thanks for comment. Is your name Laura? do you sing? And are you on the stage? And is your maiden name Worthington? These are all things that we are burning to hear! All the best, Eric.
Very nice indeed. Well done. I wonder if you know about the Kenneth Williams version of this song? Basically at the very end of the last chorus, he adds three words: "or your son" spoken as an aside. So it goes...
(sung) "Dont put Your daughter on the stage"
(spoken) "or your son!"
(sung): "Dont put your daughter on the stage!"
I only mention it because I think it is very funny and might work well with your style.
Dear Sir Noel, thank you so much for your kind comment, coming as it does from the 'Master' himself I am greatly honoured. I can imagine that witty aphorisms are tumbling out of yourself and dear Oscar with gay abandon whilst you play your game. Eric.
This is Mr. Coward, posting from the beyond. I so rarely peruse the electric interweb that I was delighted to see the my old hits infused with new life. Smashing!!! Couldn't have done it better myself ( oh, perhaps in my hayday, but as of late the flesh is, well inconsequential.) Must away dear boy, I'm late for croquet with Mr. Wilde. Cheers.
Hi vampireratt, Aw shucks, but I have dear Noel to thank for writing it. Mind you for all I know he's probably in limbo somewhere tearing his hair and screaming 'they're murdering my songs on You Tube!' Eric.
Hi VargasBC, sorry I didn't post comment before, but thanks for kind words. Incidentally, the last verse was apparently written by Noel Coward. I found it a biography of him. Had to adapt the last line however as it was a bit blasphemous. Eric.
I listen to this nearly every night. I confess. And I feel bad about it, cause I'd like to give you some moneyssssssssss. My mail is known, send me your wishes :-) You deserve it.
Fabulousssssssss
