If I had a 14-year old girlfriend who was cheating on me with a 12-year old, I would be pissed off at my girlfriend and not at the 12-year old. Not only that, I would be a little concerned that my girlfriend is molesting a 12-year old. I would break up with my girlfriend and tell the 12-year old's parents about my ex. And if the parents did nothing about it and I found out that my ex-girlfriend was doing something worse, I would tell the authorities. I would be a little more worried about that.

I've worked with clients who have had messed up childhoods, u name it they wear the t-shirt,but regardless, you're bad childhood should not give you immunity for making very bad choices in life such as inflicting pain on innocent people. Someone's childhood can make us understand their actions in the present but it doesn't mean we should tolerate or be ok with it.

Had tried to commit suicide, self harmed, and soon. So they were tortured before hand. They needed serious medical help, yet the officials kept sending them back home, and not keeping them where they should have been. It could have saved their, and this poor girls life. I am from New Albany Indiana. Where Shanda lived with her Mom. Where Melinda and Amanda lived as well. To call this murder Gruesome is an Understatement!!There are no words to even describe it. As a teenager in the 1980s, I remember a lot of over dramatic school romances, rivalries, conflicts, ect...these conflicts would usually result in some afterschool confrontation, maybe a fist fight...and then it was over for the most part. Not only that, I would be a little concerned that my girlfriend is molesting a 12-year old. I would break up with my girlfriend and tell the 12-year old's parents about my ex. And if the parents did nothing about it and I found out that my ex-girlfriend was doing something worse, I would tell the authorities. I would be a little more worried about that.

Had tried to commit suicide, self harmed, and soon. So they were tortured before hand. They needed serious medical help, yet the officials kept sending them back home, and not keeping them where they should have been. It could have saved their, and this poor girls life. I read in The Cruel sacrifice Book that Toni called a friend, I don't if what before or after they burned the body, and told them that Melinda and Laurie killed someone, but she was talking so fast they friend could not make out what she said.

I am from New Albany Indiana. Where Shanda lived with her Mom. Where Melinda and Amanda lived as well. To call this murder Gruesome is an Understatement!!There are no words to even describe it. There are NO excuses for what was done to this child.To this day our community is affected by this.Shanda became and will always remain Everyones little girl.We will never forget her and are hearts are with her family forever.

As a teenager in the 1980s, I remember a lot of over dramatic school romances, rivalries, conflicts, ect...these conflicts would usually result in some afterschool confrontation, maybe a fist fight...and then it was over for the most part. Out of all the hormonal teenage girl spats, not one of them was homicidal about it. In fact...some of these formal rivals are now friends on facebook and laugh about the stupid things they did as kids.
Melinda and Laurie were seriously screwed.

I watched the Dr. Phil show, and I must say that Amanda looked really hurt. I understand Jackie's pain also, but let's be real here. MELINDA is the REASON why Shanda is dead! Had it not been for her, she would still be alive. I was very surprised that her name wasn't brought up more, her being the MAIN culprit. Does anyone think that Jackie would have even talked to her like she did with Hope? I think that Jackie would not have even been on the stage with ML

i don't think amanda wanted to act smug i don't think she knew how to act after being called a child molester. you know everyone is quick to judge but think about it how would u act u really don't know until that happen's to u. man i really gotta praise the mom and sister they did a great job keeping their self's together yeah hope and toni did their time and now they are out and yeah they get to start new live's but i hope they know they still have 1 final judgement the good lord above.
