well, i just completed the game. to all of those comments on whether or not it's scary, it was pretty friggin scary to me. it was mostly horror with well distributed epic adventure moments. but there wasn't a time in the game that i felt safe or that i had the advantage. i say it was much better than the first one.

Lol i just waited for someone to think they have the right to tell ppl what to listen to xD I listen to pumpkins for a long time, but heck im glad if new ppl start listening to them. The Radeon 5870/6970 or the Nvidia 570. The 5870 is a generation old now but still plays games at max, with dx11. Not only that but it's under 300$. Otherwise go with the Nvidia 570 over the Radeon 6970.

@AkMASSACR3, of course you'll believe someone with a well known name, because it's simple human logic - people believe famous people, it's called crowd control. You'll believe anything what a developer says, as most people will.

Of course it contains a bit of horror, but this part is smaller than action. Well, may be you're right and we should wait for release to judge the game properly.

@AkMASSACR3, there is a thin borderline thad separates a horror game and an adrenaline driven game. They can be distinguished only by comparison: in DS we feared to look by the corner, we feared every necromorph. And most of the time we were fighting one or two necrs at once, while in DS2 there are hordes of them, even those that do not come in packs, we are fighting with groups, not single entities, exept the moments when they are immensely strong and big.

Here Ian directly states that they are adding "big action moments" in the game and yet you bring a statement by Papoutis about tweaks in weapons and new version af Isaac being the only changes. There comes the question - can we believe the developers' denial about the changes in the concept of the game? No.

@AkMASSACR3, any game can be considered scary to a certain player. But there is a strict line that separates action and horror. Even the leading developer himself said something like: "In DS2 it is not Aizek, who will fear necromorphs, but the necromophs, who will fear Aizek" - nuff said. The developers themselves admitt DS2 to be an action with this phrase. I do not argue about storyline which is like to be great. But putting scary monsters in the game doesn't make it a horror.

Looks like this Dead Space is heavier on story than the last one while not making as scary, which i find good since i loved the story of dead space, but everyone seems like they don't really care about the story and only want the game to scare the crap out of them :(

@AkMASSACR3, you see, I would really prefer DS2 to be scary, but I just can't see what is there to be afraid of. The existence of open levels instead of narrow corridors already decreases the fear factor by half. Not to mention the design of levels - they are just to brigt. And these packs of monsters... in the first part they were present too, but they were realized much better, they were not rushing in hordes towards you, but acted in a unique way, this is what DS2 lacks according to gamevids.

@AkMASSACR3, lol, you gotta be kidding me. It doesn't change DS2. I've watched a lot of video on DS2 and nothing gonna change my mind. It's an anction, a hack-n-slash action, not a horror in any way. A lot of people claim the first part not to be scary, what is there to talk about in DS2 where there are hordes of necromorphs rushing towards you. There is no sence of fear, just adrenaline.

I like how the way they humanized isaac in the 2nd part.I mean who would want an entirely silent character from the whole 1st game WHO has completely no reply from the NPC's? and the way he talks is just plain normal.
