vietnam was not an war it as a police movement so we helped south vietnam and after 5hat most poeple had problems after that i got back and got no welcome just a welcome back to the world from y sarge
im just getting into VN reenacting after doing ww2 for the last 5 years, and one thing you need to remember they willnot teach anyting about either one in schools, so with all due respect to the vets, its up to us the passonate history buffs to educate the uninformed masses, its sad when I am standing in my Waffen SS uniform, and I am asked if I am US Airforce national guard member at a air show
guys we need to respect all VET, of all wars ,,vietnam was a war of horror from all to watch the tv,s stateside at the time ,, if it wasnt for the tv crews in NAM in the end it could of changed RESPECT YOUR ENEMY..
While i completely respect that, i feel you do not quite understand why we reenact Vietnam. The reenactors are trying to educate the public on what you did, and what life was like for you in Vietnam. we do our best to be authentic and present an accurate veiw of the war, not a hollywood glorification of the Conflict. I think now is a very appropriate time to reenact this period, while there are still veterans around to help us ensure that we are achieving our aims, something that other wars lack
well if you want your story told properly then maybe you support what reenactors are doing, other wise all of your sacrifices and lost friends will be in vain, as the PC mentality out there will deny you that right
This looks incredibly expensive
