for the whole time as i was watching the ending where jamie foxx's daughter was playing her violin...i was praying that either city hall would blow up ... or >:D jamie's daughter would get blown up as she strung her last cord on the violin.
I thought him looking at the bracelet his daughter made him, while flames were starting, knowing he was gonna die was sad. D: Like.. gosh damn! I would go on a damn rampage if anyone hurt anyone i loved!
@nwcoastlife Well, Nick wasn't going to just shoot him lol. He chose to let him decide whether he was going to live or die, and ultimately him choosing not to abandon his plan resulted in his own death.
@fianle Yeah, but he didn't just blow himself up. He destroyed a huge section of the prison and killed anyone else in lockup who was unlucky enough to be in a cell too close to him.
@fianle Hehe, yeah, as the old saying goes, "It's only a movie" and I did enjoy it, but I thought that overkill ending and all the people that died over a criminal that could have been thwarted with a prison transfer was funny.
When the good man becomes corrupted because of the actions of the people around him, who's fault is it? The man murdering the innocent, or the ones that let him do it?
The best ending would be if he had two bombs, one in his cell and the other under the city hall and before he made the call that trigger both bombs he would say " I'm sorry Chester.. but justice.....justice is being served" and then Chester runs out but Clyde stays in the cell and this scene happens
Irony is that one of he's perfect plans was used against him in the end.
all you guys who think he should of lived. you don't know what makes a good movie. all men are held accountable for their action and that includes Clyde.
@Twinpact Sure they were, what happened to the guy who killed his daughter and wife??? nothing, Clyde had to do something about it because no one tried to do anything.
Awesome movie, but I wish he had succeeded in blowing up city hall and wiping out that mayor bitch and all the other morons who allow the justice system to remain a complete mess. Gerard Butler is considered the 'bad guy' in this movie, but not to me. He's the only good guy and his actions were completely justified. The judge assassination is the best.
It think it would have been better for Gerry to have gotten away with it. Jamie Foxx was not that smart and too much into himself. He didn't learn anything. He wasn't sorry for anything. The rest of the movie was really good, but the ending sucked!
@DrugMan24 yh i wanted him too actually get a point accross but no he died screw that it would have been better if he had changed the law but died on the way it would have been even better if he lived

Wasn't blowing up the entire solitary confinement area a little excessive?

@nwcoastlife That is true, but who knows if Nick really knew how powerful the bomb really was. Haha

the flames symbolizes hell for where he is going.
Irony is that one of he's perfect plans was used against him in the end.
