It is by no means my favorite of yours, however, for some strange reason, I actually like this. I am not a fan of this kind of music, but you do a lot with your voice and you build toward the chorus. You still manage to sing really well even in a genre that usually does not encourage that. I am glad you took the risk and showed us a different style.

Jen, the song is good 'cause you are a great writer and performer with heart and talent, but -even if I DO like experiments in music and versatility- I really don't think you need to try this genre, 'cause it's full of songs like this one and paradoxically there are not so many singers with your lovely style around. So I would say, good one but please back on track. Just my two cents ;-) I know, I know, I'm old style ... and I will admit I like to experiment myself... oh well, thumbs up for you!

I actually really enjoyed it, however I would suggest turning down the synth effects a bit, because your voice is a little breathy so it's being overpowered... & we can't miss that, now can we? :D

My honest opinion.

Your unique and great vocal is there but this is FAR too much of a departure from your usual style. Emily moved me to tears but this doesn't move me at all. Stick to your natural style of music.

I'm a MASSIVE fan of you and was just being honest, I'm a guitarist of 25 years and you made me cry buckets with Emily. That song rips the heart out of my very soul.......In a good way because people like myself can relate to the story in their own lives.

It's one hell of a heartbreaker of a song though......I feel the pain when I listen to it.....Ouch! I must be a sadist because I love listening to it even though it causes me pain ;) Or a musician who appreciates great music. :)

Signs is another Jenny classic. That song is very simple but it shows off your skills as a producer. You obviously recorded it on a simple system but the production is straight out of the top drawer.
