im a juggler working in circus so i know just how hard it is and i know just how good he is , hes unreal thetalent cant be put into words hes got a natural ability for it and i know the old saying is practice makes perfect but im sorry unless your born with a natural ability for it you can never do the stuff he can , hes just unreal , the 3 club routine he does for me is awsome , so smooth and makes it look so easy , i would kill to be as good as him
You're not gonna hear an applause because (1) There were only a couple hundred people in there at the most and the place sits 2,500. (2) The band's microphones were directly linked to the video feed, so all you would hear is music.
i been told that when u are doin tricks...u have to stay still and no be moving aroud...but if u notice when he does the multiplex right after the 5 ball shower the balls wouldnt land on the other hand if he wouldnt move to the left......if he does it i think i should do it too
You have to TRY to stay still, but obviously that is very difficult when you are doing an insanely difficult trick. Just because he moves around doesn't mean your juggling will be better if you do ;)
He is doing that because he is a good entertainer. People don't care about juggling a lot of objects, they want to be entertained. If you stand in one place running a pattern and don't work the stage people fall asleep.
I believe that if you catch a club at the wrong hand it is actually more difficult to think quickly and correct the club on the next throw! Well done Anthony!!

Unfortunately the artists do get sick and/or injured and are not able to perform every show. I myself find it annoying if there is an act absent in any Cirque show I go see but sometimes its just inevitable.
I saw the show last night, Friday, February 6th. I did the Tapis Rouge thing and the whole experience created a "best thing ever" sort of day. I went to see Anthony Gatto. His juggling was flawless and the rest of the performances were almost all flawless.
If you get the chance, go see Kooza.
Do the Tapis Rouge thing if you can. It really isn't worth the extra money but it was fun. It added great food, open bar with no tips accepted. You also get the closest parking.
I had very good tickets in front section, I went on Jan 14th. Didn't get any souvenirs or anything. Tried to get a photo with Gatto with no success :( Maybe another time. Seeing him perform was well worth it!
Well, I've seen Varekai before and I saw someone juggling in that as well. He was okay, but when I saw Anthony juggle, it felt like I was doing the juggling.

I just don't think he's really interested in that at this point in time. I also Think that Gatto thinks Juggling has more too it than just raw technical skill, so he's not interested in competing a competition that judges strictly on that piece of it. Some of this is just speculation however. I believe somewhere online their is a letter From Mr. Garfield to Mr. Gatto, where Gatto then replies, basically saying that his competing days are over.
Some say he doesn't compete because he thinks he might lose, and does not want to risk that option. I believe he would win though. But again, Part of what I like so much about gatto is although he has the utmost technical skill, he is also a great performer. he doesn't just stand there and juggle.

I disagree with chinchinninjin. I understand that Varekai and others have a serious story and plotline, but remember that Cirque Du Soleil is also a CIRCUS. All the KOOZA creators were trying to do was bring a little fun back in to the act, make people have a good time. I watched this in San Jose and it was a brilliant act!

i agree with everyone that this act is outstanding even for cirque. However unlike shows like Varekai and Dralion, this act seriously has no connecting to the show. It seems to me to be a pointless act of skill, something i think cirque should elaborate less on and give more attention to portraying a worthwhile STORY using the breathtaking TALENTS of the peformers.
La Nouba like 'Mystere' is largely an mix of previous shows collaborated together into one new show with new meanings behind the acts.
In La Nouba, the highly energetic acts such as the BMX bikes and power track are a symbol for the 'cirques' (circus people) whilst other acts are meant to represent the urban people. This is a common trait amongst cirque du soleil where the metaphorical acts are closely linked to the story.
I have to say, without the suit he'd just be incredible, but with the suit he's like a super - incredible juggling man from the moon. The suit is an important part of the show in my opinion.

Viktor Kee is a great juggler, but measured on raw skill he is not considered to be on the level of Anthony Gatto. It is a matter of debate whether you can find a juggler who is better than Gatto in even one of the props of balls, rings or clubs.
Yeah, but what would XahLee or WJF think of all that foot moving! He's dancing now like Alan Sulc. As for complaints here, nothing he does is easy, even the 5-ball is done with his own twist to it. He has borrowed a bit, like Vova's continuous drop kick-ups(he misses one) but no one will borrow his sync Trebla anytime soon. Great show, thanks for letting us see it.
thats simply untrue, gatto is, technically speaking, the best juggler in the world. no one is at a higher level and certainly no one is at a WAY higher level. He can do 9 balls but in a cirque show everything has to be perfect and he probably does not want to risk dropping even though he could do better
what other jugglers? this man does what he does in front of the public in some of the best shows in the world and makes good money. vova, dietz and the rest make videos for other jugglers to look at.not the same thing!
The guy is amazing and there is no juggler in the world even close to his skills. As far as I can see there is not juggler right now that has to potential to get to his level eiter.

There is no regular audience here.
This was the press conference one month before the show began. The only people watching were Cirque executives and invited members of the media.

pinkys are little pink bounce balls that you can find at toy stores. they arent meant for juggling but work fine.

I have to say, without the suit he'd just be incredible, but with the suit he's like a super - incredible juggling man from the moon. The suit is an important part of the show in my opinion.

u ppl seem to know a lot about this, i was wondering if viktor kee is considered far less of skilled juggeler as clearly he involves dance instead. and also when was anthony in cirque becuase i know viktor kee has left recently, was anthony in it before they had the dance/juggle routine??

Viktor Kee is a great juggler, but measured on raw skill he is not considered to be on the level of Anthony Gatto. It is a matter of debate whether you can find a juggler who is better than Gatto in even one of the props of balls, rings or clubs.

Yeah, but what would XahLee or WJF think of all that foot moving! He's dancing now like Alan Sulc. As for complaints here, nothing he does is easy, even the 5-ball is done with his own twist to it. He has borrowed a bit, like Vova's continuous drop kick-ups(he misses one) but no one will borrow his sync Trebla anytime soon. Great show, thanks for letting us see it.

thats simply untrue, gatto is, technically speaking, the best juggler in the world. no one is at a higher level and certainly no one is at a WAY higher level. He can do 9 balls but in a cirque show everything has to be perfect and he probably does not want to risk dropping even though he could do better

what other jugglers? this man does what he does in front of the public in some of the best shows in the world and makes good money. vova, dietz and the rest make videos for other jugglers to look at.not the same thing!

The guy is amazing and there is no juggler in the world even close to his skills. As far as I can see there is not juggler right now that has to potential to get to his level eiter.
