This tutorial would have been better if your outfit had looked like Sakura's. You're work is cheap and fairly good, but I think you could do better.

@AnimeCountDown: Thank you for expressing your opinion. It's true there are some things I can do to improve the look. In the end it is up to the cosplayer to decide what they wish to include with their costume. My tutorial is simply here to show what they can do. If you have any suggestions of improvement I'd be glad to listen to them.

@bambooblossom Oh, simply the obvious ones. You were using clothes you already had in possession, so the shirt you used is a tank top without the Asian-styled collar. The skirt's too high (and I believe the skirts and arm bands are light pink/beige rather than white or cream colored) and the boots weren't modified into sandals. As I said before, it's a great cosplay for someone who wants a simple, cheap, and easy beginner cosplayer, but there is obvious room for improvement.

@AnimeCountDown: I had no idea they were so obvious. Yes I used clothes that I already had in possession, because they were all that I had that could be modified. I personally didnt prefer the collar which is why I chose not to include it in the tutorial. The skirt was modeled after a pair of shorts that were the biggest on me, I am a tiny person after all so yes it would appear small. The colors can either be white or pink, both are used. I'll fix the boots. Thank you for pointing this out.

What should you do if you wanted to make the zipper on the front of the tanktop?

@iloveheavyrain If you look at her picture it zags to her left and then shoots straight up. My suggestion would be if you want to make the zipper, get a white one that's long enough to at least curve from the lower left up to her neck. If you dont wanna do that you can just add the white line to the front and sew that.

8DD You! You have inspired me! I've been wanting to cosplay as Sakura for awhile. :) Is it cheaper to make the costume yourself in the long run? Because I was thinking of just buying a costume online. XD

@TokioHotel087: I personally think it's better to make it, because this way you know for sure the costume will fit to your body, and you wont have to fret if the ordered costume is too big or too small. It's up to you if you wish to buy your costume (haha sometimes buying items is unavoidable), but all the same it feels much more rewarding when you walk into a con with a well done handmade costume :)

um, you can get the wig on ebay or any other cosplay site. I recommend ebay because you're more likely to get a better bargain, but finding a good quality one for that bargain is like a safari hunt. So if you just want to get a good quality one right off the bat, cosplay.com is a good site or just look up "short pink wig".
