  • Ive been in intensive therapy for two years to deal with my emotional issues...I thought were very tied with my eating habits. I havent seen much progress with my emotional eating, i wonder where you go after attempting to deal with the pain?

  • fuck you pizza and yes for skinny jeans!!!!!

  • your awesome dood, this is really interesting, he lost 4.8lbs a week through thermal body control type in ------------- Ray Cronise at TEDMED -----------------

  • Here is my BEST advice on being healthy and slim: 1. Make friends, have people to talk to, go to support groups. 2. Have some self-esteem, and as you said, go to therapy. 3. Wake up in the morning, eat healthy breakfast and take natural energy supplement (ginseng). 4. Walk, swim, exercise, feel good. 5. Eat raw vegetables, fruits, grains, and fish. Drink a lot of water. 6. Take notes of EVERYTHING you eat, and your daily habits. Great video buddy, you can do it!

  • epic man

  • I'm proud of you.

  • Hooray for you! You do a good jpb. You are right, mostly being obese is about not being able to deal with emotional issues without turning towards eating (unhealthy) food. Your next step may be the discovery of healthy food that does taste good, because it is out there. You'll just have to find the right recipes and means to get hold of it. Exercise also helps to deal with not only the extra weight, but the stress as well. And also that can be as fun as you want it to be, like very easy things

  • And as soon as you get used to eating healthy, it becomes as easy as eating all that crap that you we're used to eating! Trust me! I wish the best of lcuk to all that is on a goal to losing wight and living a healthier life :D

  • Somehow i can relate to this video.. I'm 19 years old, in high school i used to be around 5'6 and 155lbs of fat and no physical shape at all. I used to eat anything that I wanted, 3 times day and 1000 calories apart, which would be 3000 calories a day.

Today I'm 5'11 and 160lbs and pretty much all muscles. I exercised at home for 2 years. started going to the gym for 6 months now. And let me tell you, all that nonsence, or cravings for unhealthy foods, it's ALL IN YOUR HEAD. YOU CAN DO IT!

  • fatty mcfatty cake

  • I really appreciate this video and saved it as a favorite. Its bluntly honest. I've learned too that I had to deal with controlling my emotions and heal from past hurts to have permanent success.

Thanks for sharing. I subscribed to follow and offer encouragement on your journey. Blessings!

  • I wish you the best of luck dude!

  • Brought tears to my eyes... I got over my depression a year ago from now, and just now I've begun creating that deficit. Obesity really is a side affect rather than the main problem.

  • Dude, you are amazing! Everyone in my family is slim..whereas even though I'm not obese, I'm around 25 lbs above my ideal weight. This video is very inspiring. I hope the best for you :)

  • good luck hope it works for you this time around

  • Wow! There are so many mean comments...do you really think he LIKES being obese? Have some compassion people! Negativity doesn't help anyone...

  • Keep us posted... Best of hope to you!

  • Hey all you gotta do is quit eating twinkles and doodle pops and you'll lose weight fat ass.

  • Bullshit just eat less ans excercise

  • eat less, move more.. thats all it comes down to really

  • @JogBird Not really, there is a lot of emotional baggage that comes with eating disorders. You wouldn't tell an alcoholic to just stop drinking and that's all it comes down to really.

  • Wow! I just stumbled on your video. You are one inspiring dude! I don't normally make New Year's resolutions, but I may have to appropriate your words, "No more fear, no more anger, no more hatred, no more depression - man, I AM PAST IT! Yessir! Good luck to you.

  • So true - thanks so much for sharing!!!

  • We learn to associate food with affection.

  • lol, the thirty double quarter pound woman...I watch those shows too.

  • Dude, just go on the paleo diet and your worries will be over. (And if that doesn't work, see a functional medicine doctor or naturopathic doctor... then your worries will be over).

  • inspirational words, I hope everything works out for you.

  • Awesome video, keep it up! No food tastes as good as being thin feels... That usually helps me

  • can i please have that princess leia poster?

  • I don't think you mean that!

I reckon if god turned up tomorrow you'd try to eat him like everything else on the planet you fat greedy disgusting smelly obese cunt.

  • @lumurka You are a disgusting human being.

  • @lumurka "I reckon" you have an emotional issue. You should be locked cage, and laughed at, or just shot, like the selfish pig you are.

  • i love u bro no homo

  • You'r not a victim, your a fuck greedy selfish cunt.

Vermin obese scum like you suck the life out of the social security system, produce nothing in the community and disgust normal hard working folk as they go about there business.

You should be locked in a cage like a dog and feed once a day or just shot like the pig you are.

  • @lumurka Yeah and I'm sure you are perfect. It is interesting how people will sympathize with someone addicted to sex, alcohol, drugs etc. But if someone is obese then they are the embodiment of evil. You really are stupid. I have lost a ton of weight but I fully understand the way idiots like you obsess about fat people and constantly criticize them without looking at the other aspects of obesity. Get a life and stop trolling on youtube channels.

  • @xxdiogenescynicxx : Gluttony is one of the seven mortal sins.

    Why

Because even god hates fat greedy selfish pigs like you fucktard.

Now be a good loser and eat shit and die

  • @lumurka Well considering there is no God I'm not too worried about it fucktard.

  • Taking the bull by the horns, facing up to the 'shit' that underlies all addictons. i'm rooting for you (and everyone else) that gets inspired by your words dude. good vid

  • Good work, good luck..!

  • Fat pig

  • @ATRACTIVEMAN360 And you are no different, ignorant fuck.

  • This was beautiful. You hit it right on the nose.

  • Good luck with that. Your a real inspiration

  • The easiest way to lose weight is to go live somewhere else, like in Europe.

  • Thank god it's not some 130 pound guy who

Exercises 6 hours a day telling people this. It's someone who has experienced it.

  • your a cool guy but please man low card high protein will change your life i was 145kg now im 90 kg lean and mean ..im living a whole new life ..very happy

  • dude i couldnt see ya through all that fat.

  • Scoobie1961 has some good information for losing fat and also for gaining muscle:)

  • thanks for posting this :)

  • It has been a 10 yr struggle for me as an obese woman. This is the best advice i have ever gotten. Thank you for the courage to talk about this......

  • the reason fat people and smokers are judged is because they/we (I am morbidly obese) wear our addictions. the people addicted to alcohol, porn, drugs, etc can hide their addiction, but fat people actually have to wear their addiction. Smokers wear theirs also, with the smell. You will notice smokers and fat people are the most judged. Wearing your addiction just sucks. People need to realize that we are just like any other addict, and stop judging by appearances....

  • @shrinkingatheist and like any other addiction u can stop..... its no excuse....also, people often judge smokers outright and point out that they are killing themselves, however in our society, judging someones weight outright is still seen as a "rude" thing to do. YOU ARE KILLING UR SELF, however ur using addiction as an excuse to not STOP? ... im sure ur family and friends think otherwise

  • @fen183 It's as easy as quitting smoking or using meth. That's what people don't understand. the only difference is that you have to have food to live, you don't have to have cigarettes or meth. There is always food in a household, but you have to go looking for meth or whatever drug someone may be addicted to. It's the hardest addiction to break due to the fact that we can get food anywhere, we don't have to go to a seedy neighborhood and do something illegal to get our fix.

  • when u reach your "perfect" weight in your minds eye, you should look into working in televisision. because you truly have a gift of words and you are very inspirational. :)

  • you are incredibly intelligent and understanding...you deserve to be the best you can be and you seem to be in a place to do it. Please dont let you sabotage you. Stay strong, and continue to grow mentally and shrink physically, totally inspirational. I wish you all the best.

  • I mean I know my problem is still there. even if I lost 120 pounds. I dont let it control my life as much as it used to, but every now and then it comes back and I binge till I can hardly breath :(. It is so hard to control it man.

  • I hear you man!!! you are right. Even if you lose the weight you still have the emotional issue. I lost 100 pounds. I fell better and look better, but I binge eat BIG TIME every now and then. it just takes hold of me. I feel like crap afterwards. Sometimes it is just imposible for me to control it. My weight has been balanced at around a bmi of 24.5 for months now. I´m happy I´ve been able to keep it off, but I know I happy the problem there. :(

  • Respond to this video... DON'T TALK ABOUT IT. JUST DO IT.

  • I want to be your friend !!!

  • dude, youre videos are so incredible!! there is nobody on youtube like you.. you have no problem talking reality.. youre fucking awesome!! :-D

  • You know, normally I dont like to watch videos like this because I find it "sappy" but I think thats part of my problem. I had lapband surgery and it FAILED because my eating wasnt the problem, it was the headspace I was in. no surgery can fix that.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!! I have to agree with you about the salad tasting like crap but its fuel for your body. I look at it like this, When someone is sick some times they may have to take nasty medicine. but they know the benefits of taking it will help them to get better. I too have been the poster child of Obesity. I can remember being put on weight watchers at 6 years old, dancing to Richard Simmons Work out VHS's, and drinking slim fast. Keep It Up!!

  • So proud of you man! You are AMAZING!

  • Cont.

May be the way to lose weight, but society needs to start asking why these people are thinking the way they are thinking. Loved the video, great work!!!

  • I randomly stumbled across this video when hopping YouTube from another person that I subscribe to. Strangely enough she suffered from an ED (bulimia) and alot of the videos I past were anorexics talking about the exact same thing you are. Two different sides of the scale and both come down to mental programing. Something that society seems to miss every time they talk about weightloss but managed to work out years ago in regards to starving yourself. Sure eating healthy and exercising may be t

  • Wow !!! Truly Inspirational.. Good points well spoken. Good luck to you

  • Brilliant post, dude. Thanks for putting yourself out there for all of us. I only want to add that you should eat healthy foods that don't taste like crap! It can be done! I swear! Thanks again.

  • I used to be obese. Not anymore. You know what helped me lose the weight? It wasn't a diet or an exercise plan. It was my therapist.

  • Great speaker!

  • You sir are inspirational. Thank you for this, and good luck as you keep on your journey.

  • Finally someone get's it . deal with your emotions get some discipline and you will be fine !

  • Rock on, bud. You've got the right attitude now! Food is just fuel, life is the meal!

  • AWWWWYYYEEEAAAAH let's go hard bro, i'm right there with ya.

  • I found this through loseit, and i must say... you started the tear ducts rolling. I am starting my diet tomorrow, and this was the exact speech i needed to hear i think to help me. I used to be an athlete, but for the past six years i have done nothing but eat myself into the never ending cycle of 'i'm depressed because i'm fat, but i'm fat because i'm depressed'. I would write more, but character limits are never fun. Needless to say, i wanted to say thank you.

  • You. Are. Awesome. So glad I watched this.

  • Congrats man! Good luck with everything, we're all pulling for you!

  • Yay r/loseit!

  • You CAN do anything and you are showing the world they can too!

  • I hope you are as motivated in the pool as you are on YOUTUBE! Keep it up big man. Remember one key thing when you work out that I kinda adopted since I joined the military. MIND OVER MATTER, If you don't mind, pain doesn't matter. Keep pushing through, work hard, and you will love it.

  • I find that when I buy a good video game and bury myself in it, I don't have temptation to eat as much. Its when I don't have my video game replacement that it all goes to hell. I hope Diablo 3 will be the game that can replace your food.

  • 5 disliking people are the ones using the Power Chairs @ Walmart!!!

  • God, you are amazing boogie. Been with your vids since '09 and hope to see more for years to come ^_____^. Good luck

  • 37? Damn dude, I figured you were my age (30)

  • This made me cry but it was a good cry. Thank you so much for sharing yourself. You truly are an inspiration.

  • Go Boogie.

    You matter.

  • Boogie FOR PRESIDENT! ?!!?!? Am I right?!

  • boogie keep it up, you inspire thousands of people and i know you definitely have inspired me. Dont ever stop what your doing, your a good guy and i wish the absolute best for you

  • Boogie, you kick ass.

  • This is by far the best video you have ever made! If you watch this and can't lose weight...... Keep it up Boogie the UK is behind you!

  • I'm with you on this, dude. Psychological and sociological pasts have a major impact on your weight. If you can work through that, it helps prevent on relapses and rebound of weight-gaining. Spread the faith, Steve. We'll all be listening. :-D

  • uno hat bogie, though im not overweight. i do no pain, and i can tell by ur eyes u no pain too, i appreciate ho hard your trying man, keep up the good work

  • Boogie, I have watched all of your videos, and this one is the best. Thank you very much.

  • you're awesome boogie, keep up the great work!!!

  • Boogie is amazing. Enough said :)

  • You made me skinny.

  • I'm proud of you Boogie. I'm really proud. I know the odds of you reading this comment are very low, but I want you to know that you have helped me in more ways than you could ever know. Thank you for everything and I wish you luck. Thank you.

  • Completely agree. I am still dealing with my emotional problems- the 200 pound security blanket that I threw onto myself to keep people away. I have lost 100+ pounds now but I am still dealing with issues that make me want to hurt myself with food to keep people away. While I was eating a huge mixing bowl of cereal one day I was thinking about what I was going to eat after it was done. If you say your thoughts out loud where you can audibly hear it, you realize how you're lying to yourself.

  • Go on Boogie. You have full support from all your fans. Just remember, in a few years, you will be watching these videos with your girlfriend / wife / kids and you will be happy with your new better life. :P

  • Thank you. I'm not fat but I'm trying to get over somethings in my life and you kinda helped me.

  • Every video you make, you keep my attention, especially this one; boogie, i am so so proud of you, and i love you as a subscriber, and as a friend, you will defeat this! Your are amazing! Keep it up man!

  • You have such a way with words. You're so inspirational. Don't stop what you're doing because you /can/ do anything.

  • Boogie I would suggest you to watch Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead on netflix. I found it interesting to watch.. I'd like to hear your take on it! Keep up the weight loss boogie! And ohh your on /R/ Lose it?! we are all cheering for you man!

  • Good video man.

  • THIS IS SPARTA!

  • Damn, i like this guy

  • YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH ! !

  • Interesting that you should post this boog. Realized from some of my adult friends that addiction is WAY more than physical stuff. Our childhood, more than anything, dictates so much of what we deal with as adults for the rest of our lives. Dealing with that stuff, no matter how embarrassing or difficult or stupid it may be is the key to finally setting yourself free from it. Love ya man.

  • you look great boogie really rootin for yeah

  • YOU GOT IT BUDDY!@

  • Boogie!! u can do it! keep it up. exercise and eat lean! i Got faith in u

  • Thank you for this video man.

  • Good luck to you, Boogie, from the UK! Totally rooting for you! I'm not morbidly obese, but I'm not happy with my own body image, so, I'm gonna lose that weight! My journey may be shorter than yours, but I'll be waiting for you at the finish line my friend.

  • I'm not even fat but i just watch this because this man has a gift with speaking and i find it truly inspirational. You're incredible man.

  • @charmaster7 I'm the same, man. I'm actually skinny, all of like 130 lbs... but I can't stop watching this man speak. And this, so far, is probably the most inspirational video he's made... In a long line of inspirational, thought provoking, videos.

  • boogie you da man!

  • This video was just what I needed to see today, not having a good day at all. Thank you.

  • possiblly you best ever vid Boogs.

As you once said into a toy microphone while wearing a 'novelty wig': bring your shit!

    Style man.

  • Medicate yourself with a Big Mac...not going to lie Boogster....it hit close to home. Happy? I eat, Upset? I eat, Stressed? I eat. The biggest way of dealing with it now: A). Wife B). Swimming. You sir hit this one straight on the nail. Eat to survive, not survive to eat. Until I started this again did I realize how destructive the eating is, there are SO MANY alternatives we could do to deal with the daily grind and shit storms of life. Let's to do this. LERROOOOYYYYY JENKINS!!!

  • Sounds like you're really making permanent progress here. I hope you never go back!

  • I watched the biggest loser - didn't take it too literally but def used it for inspiration and have lost 42 pounds so far and still going...good luck with everything :)

  • Keep the good shit up.

  • Trapped in a cage of my own flesh. I like that boogie, keep up the great work!

  • Anyone ever tell you you should have your own podcast show? I'd definitely subscribe to it!

  • This video makes want to scream GO MAN KEEP IT UP YEAH!!!!!! to you. But seriously man keep it up we're with you and we're watching you man. You are awesome.

  • you have got to be the most inspiring person on YouTube in weight loss... keep doing what you're doing .

  • yer my favorite, dude! keep kicking ass! video is so inspiring!

  • What a lad, gotta love you Boogie

  • You've broke the mental barrier, this is it man. Lets do this!

  • i said it to you like 10 times on your videos, and i will say it again. You truly are a inspiration.

  • People will always try to find some other reason to Blame why they are fat because it makes them feel better if they think its beyond their control and could say its not their fault. Just eat less food and lose weight ,eASY mode

  • Hey man - I've very proud of your accomplishments on your weight loss journey.

I personally have gone from 320lbs (at 5'6) to around 170 and now I'm back up a little because I've been lifting weights and trying to get stronger and bigger in a healthy way.

Just wanted to make a single recommendation - you are very externally focused. You watch all these shows, etc. and whether you realize it or not - you're comparing yourself to them and the people on them. Keep it focused on YOU my friend!

  • DUDE, if you lose a bunch of weight and keep that goatee...

    YOU WILL LOOK FUCKING BADASS!

  • It takes a big man to actually realize that(and I'm sorry, I don't mean that as a pun lol). To make it through something like this, you're going to feel like you're on top of the world once you've completed your goal! Every day is just another hill to climb, and you have a ton of support that I'm sure most people don't have. You can do it bro!

  • your an inspiration Boogie =) I am so happy you are doing and looking great !!!

    keep on going !!

  • Your type of motivation is what we need in this country..people lack this so much it's sad but i am very proud of you for taking it one day at a time, we are here for you Boogie.

  • wow that was just awesome. watching your videos has really made me think. keep at it 300 will be gone soon

  • Damn dude. Your going to lose all of that wait in no time. Keep it up man i got your back. I understand depression too, more then you know.

  • I bet all your subscribers are fking proud of you boogie, cuz i am!

  • I wish you luck! I just realized recently, that I actually suffer from depression, and have steadily been gaining weight since the death of someone I loved. Sooo, I should really start thinking of trying to lose weight. :3 You helped me understand this, so thank you Boogie.

  • "The three double quarter pounder woman" lol great.

  • i would say something but everybody has it dead on, so keep the good work and videos up boogie! i literally cant wait to see your next video

  • You are a smart person boogie, and it's really tough that you share your problems with the internet. Good luck

  • Comment removed

  • WOW....what u said made total sense...really hit home....keep up the good work boogie :)

  • I really hate that every time I watch one of your videos there's a giant KFC ad right next to it. lol! Anyways, keep up the positive energy and drive to lose weight. Your videos make a lot of people smile, including myself.

  • You look like you got stung by a bunch of bees :P

  • can you make a video of your opinion on the TV shows?

  • Great job getting through the emotional part of the weight loss, it's good that you're beyond that and now it's down to the physical aspect. You're past the hardest part now. I find it inspirational, because I'm really not too over-weight, my weight loss goal is only 30 pounds, but I have the issue of always eating when I get stressed or depressed. It's great to see others trying so hard and actually making progress, it gives me hope. Good luck!

  • dude you are awesome don't give up bro

  • I'm liking your attitude because thats what gets you places. Keep it up! it u

  • @Bulbawhore I can tell just by your spelling/grammar that you're not a bright person, so it's hard to explain this in any way you'll understand, but science has proven that there are mental/emotional connections to people over-eating.

  • @Dyingbreed1990 lol my comment got too many neg votes. I guess the truth hurts for you people huh? trust me kid I know more about nutrition then you will ever kno , and I have more education behind it then you do. Oh and you want to bring science into a "Emotion" aspect of something/...lol ,kid you obviously don't know what you are talking about so please quit.people are fat cause they are lazy and they eat too much food, no smoke and mirrors behind that.

  • THIS is really easy to jack off too.

  • Good Job Boog ! We are all behind ya, keep the focus!!

  • yoou are the man . ull get thea bro we suport u all the wayy

  • awesome!

  • Boog your a great person with an awesome personality. I hope you know how inspirational you are! Peace bro and keep up the weight loss and inspirational videos.

  • Boogie, I'm super proud of you. I know that you can do this. But one thing that I think will help is if you stop posting videos on your other channel like the "Fat Man Jumps Into Pool" and all that. It's bringing yourself down. We can support you as much as we can, but in the end, if you continually bring yourself down then it's going to be that much harder. You can do it Boodie. We believe in you. THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE!
