you can just change the setting's of the avatar if you have assassin creed 1 game you can take the part of the file of Assassin creed 1 avatar and change some things and put it in the file of metal gear where it's avatar file is. put the same name as the original avatar of metal gear had. and you should have altair shown in the game than.

Eraser400 you do know you can get Altair's costume in mgs4 right? You can get it two ways using a code that was released by kojima and konami but you have to beat the game once. Or you can get the Assassin title at the end of the game and you will unlock it. Sad you can't use altair's weapons =(
