i dont see how anyone could like tonopah its a disgusting little town full of disgusting people its horrible i live in pahrump and it is like a thousand times better than tonopah and pahrump isnt that great so thats saying alot about tonopah. go muckers or i should say go hicks!
Beautiful Tonopah? Ha, try living here for 20 years, its like waking up every morning next to Janet Reno... speaking of Reno, can't wait to move there lol, nice vid btw lol
@SqueeMouseofHorror I grew up in Nye County, and you're right.....Tonopah is pure *hell*, it really evades description, if I were to return, I think I would prefer to live in Beatty, a really nice little town from my recollection, definitely thousands of times better than Tonopah
@cmmolthr Well yeah, they have Eddie World (an awesome gasstation/candystore/ice cream shop)! As far as Tonopah goes, the good points are that I know everyone and the bad points are that I know everyone.
I've never forgotten spending the night in Tonapah in 1971 on our way, my mother, aunt and I, to LA. We stopped at Scotty's Castle earlier in the day, then made it on to Tonapah. Had two rooms on the second floor of a hotel right on the main street. I ate an enchilada dinner at a restaurant, but it wasn't anything like the Tex-Mex I was used to in Texas--it was much better! A beautiful little town I'd like to re-visit some day.
i just got back to vegas from tonopah i think the whole 25 mph on the four way road is a way to give alot of tickets lol XD. i noticed that the locals can speed and don't get pulled over ,but people that the sherifs dont recognize that go 26 mph do get pulled over lol still a cool town thow.
A bit of Tonopah history for you. The Mizpah hotel/casino was a scheduled rest stop for "Las Vegas Tonopah Reno Stage Lines" (or simply LTR) and later "KT Services" both of which are long gone, thus leaving no direct schedules from Las Vegas to Reno.
Also, there's a table one the wall opposite of the front desk that's on permanent loan to the Mizpah from the Beko family.
Funny, I'd never thought of putting the words "beautiful" and "Tonopah" together.
