  • I am confused as to what the meaning is, haha! I can only imagine what would happen if I called a random Aussie chick "Shelia". lol!

  • @TannerTheGamer sheila is a chick...any female is a sheila so you would have to call them a sheila such as "wow look at that sheila over there"

  • @rob0w3n cool. Thanks for clearing that up, haha! I am going to try using it in the US and see what reaction I get, lol!

  • Nicking a Jasper Carrott joke here, but have you noticed how Australians always answer their own questions?

    What's your name Sheila?

    What's your favourite colour Blue?

    What's your hobby Sport?

  • @Nayson That made no sense seeing as sheila isn't a name it's a slang term for girl/woman/female.

  • @CreeDofNeoN To quote Rainier Wolfcastle of Simpsons fame:

    THAT'S THE JOKE.

  • stone the crows Geoff your going to bloody confuse those septic tanks with your Aussie slang.

  • So is it just a general term for women or is a derogatory term?

  • @ragingwookie General. Can be derogatory depends on delivery

  • I like the Australian slang but a little description would be cool. There's always subtle differences.

  • I saw Sheila on the women''s room at the Outback steakhouse! I thought that a woman named Sheila owned it :P

  • Hey Australia you think you can do Maourie or however you spell it? I forget D: you said it on the PKA stream :|

  • @Lagwagonnofx813 Them maori, they're choice people eh bro :)

  • @Lagwagonnofx813 lol why the hell would us aussies wanna do something to do with kiwis?

  • @rob0w3n See! idk exactly what it means! I wanna learn. Lol

  • @Lagwagonnofx813 you would have to come to australia and see how we are...or at least know an aussie and talk to them about it

  • @rob0w3n Well thats why I was hoping sasben would be able to explain given his heritage :D

  • @Lagwagonnofx813 oh ok, well im aussie too so if you have any questions feel free, sasben is probably too busy to keep replying to every comment

  • @Lagwagonnofx813 I can do kiwi/maori - but that isnt my heritage?

  • @sasbenjr I didn't mean you were kiwi/maori but that you have more knowledge of that than I do >.< I was just recently introduced to the term by somebody from New Zealand but he didnt explain it very well.

thatd be awesome if you could do one of these on it Austrailia <3 (I'm Lemmiwinks on Hupt btw :P)

  • Can't wait till we win the Ashes on foreign soil.

  • the outback guy sounds more.....

nah i wont go there ;-)

  • lol

  • My favourite Aussie slang is Pom, which is what my Great-Aunt always calls me. She takes the cricket very seriously and cant get over the Ashes.

  • @Lysander45 - hahaha....what?!

  • @rondre3000 A pom or pommie is a Brit

  • @rondre3000 Its a slang-nickname Australians have for the British. And the Ashes is a cricket tournament that takes place every 3 years or maybe 4 I forget right now between England and Australia. We won the last one, and my Aunt never forgets nor forgives.

  • @Lysander45 - Aaaahhh, gotcha. Nice tho that its a whole 'nother language for an American like myself. Had a buddy that was Aussie and his fave expression seemed to be "knackered".

"Wanna come with to the pub and get knackered?"

    Good times.

  • @rondre3000 Yeah I misread the m as rn too lol :P.

  • hahahahaha what?

  • a bit random, do australians really say that, and what does it mean?

  • @jellybabywill Jellybaby! :O Aint seen you in ages... btw it means chick.

  • @jellybabywill retard, it means women

  • @jellybabywill Not all Australians say it, only the ones from the east, but we all know they're inbred xD. I kid, I kid.

  • @CreeDofNeoN when you say east i assume you mean Tasmania, in which case you mean south east

  • @CreeDofNeoN i assume you mean south east? in and around Tasmania? :)

  • haha wtf?
