  • Unfortunately that's no ramjet. :(

  • Good idea, nice run

  • Yea, and there are a few people going around trolling saying that they are not ramjets. To statically test a ramjet you provide it with high velocity air, and they can operate subsonic. They are ramjets wether you blow air into them at 400 mph or fly them through the air at 400 mph. This is an entirely different kind of engine setup, capable of running statically.

  • how many lbs thrust does this one produce?thx

  • is the pulsejet powered ramjet more powerfull than the pulsejet on its own?i mean how many lbs thrust this thing make?

  • Thats a Pulsjet Engine to drive the big Ramjet i think. A ramjet needs a high air speed to operate.

  • whats that glowy thing in the front?

  • maydayfire, thats a pulsejet

  • Low throttle? What happens when you do higher throttle? Show me PLEEEEEEEEEEZE!

  • Hey Mangy thanks! The prototype worked but had a bit of problem running when the pulsejet was real low, you can see how rich it wanted to run. The new updated version has a few modifications and runs like crazy even on low throttle. Really huge improvement from such a little tweak. Probably tomorrow I will have some video of the new one running with the pulsejet maxed out and the ramjet running on liquid propane! :) It has shock diamonds in the exhaust on high and really needs a CD nozzle :D

  • Way to go Eric, I'm still awestruck at your ability to dampen the shock for a nice smooth burn. Really good work :D Can't wait to see what else you have lined up.
