  • The ciao now are available in more colors then before.

  • @ookamiroxaskun13 Yes they are, that video was shot 2 years ago & I do believe that Copic will eventually have all or most of the colors available in both sketch & Ciaos.

  • where do you find Gina K cardstock?

  • Just use a marker paper.

  • i bet you havent tried sainbury's own :P

  • what are copics btw i really want to know wat are they

  • since im a beginner which one do i get for practice??

  • @amyandleonel do not use Staz-on! Just Memento.

  • they will fade in direct sunlight after awhile like most mediums, if you display it behind UV glass it will have better results

  • Hi, can you tell me how much Copic artwork fades if you display it in direct light? I am interested in buying some markers but like to display my work on the wall and have heard that they fade in direct sunlight or even bright indoor lights? Thanks.

  • @JazzOnWonderKing. Try doing the library with a black copic

  • Very informative!

    Thank you. =)

  • Haha she stopped the film to attend to the killer dog in background!

  • to use with the copic markers, are the Archival stamp pads a no-no like the Staz-on stamp pads?

  • bla bla bla

  • I'm 13 but all I use is crayola colored pencils and bic markers. they are both not good to use and i use regular printer paper and sketch book paper. I want copic markers but I dont know what this stuff is where can i get? I'm a good drawer but I dont have the right materials please help me. please respond

    thankyou!! p.s your good

  • Hi im only 12 and i wanna know how to draw.

Can u recomend any "easy to use" markers/Pens/pencils for a 12 year old?

But they have to be cheap, and it would be nice if i could get them at somewhere simple. Like walmart?

    Please Reply!

    Thanks.

  • @JazzOnWonderKing If you want good quality markers, pens etc it isn't cheap. I would recommend getting a few more years of practice down with art before splashing out on things like that, especially if you are really 12. That is still a very young age for an artist, you need time to develop your skills and style first. Just some friendly advice. When I was that age I wanted to get Copics and things, but I wasn't at the right level back then, so I'm glad I waited. Just some friendly advice ;)

  • @xCherryFizzlex Oh Thx :P Ya im still trying to get good. But my pencils and stuff always smudge at it ends up looking like crap ):

  • I wonder if you could buy a couple Touch Twin markers and give us a review. They are the Chinese Copic imitation, not refillable, way cheaper.

  • Help me? :D I'm new at this xD I really want to try it!! :D But I have no idea of what colors I chould buy... :S Help me? :D Thank you ^^

  • "umh, umh, umh... umh!"

  • Hello, this video was so helpful! But I can't find the link of the copic marker color chart. Is it somewhere specific?

  • Thank you very much! I was going to make my own chart sence Ive exspanded my copic collection and now I don't need to :) And Ty for the tip on useing the same paper I do my art on.

  • what would you say is better? copics, or copic ciaos?,

  • @creepy1100 Copic Ciaos are just a smaller version of Copic Sketch, so you would run out of ink faster but refills are not a problem and very cost effective. One refill can fill a Ciao up to 13x and Sketch 8-10x for only around $5-6. The main diffrence I have noticed, you can get a wider variety of colors to choose from with Sketch.

  • @DirtyLaundryNovelty oh really? cool! currently I live no where near a store that sells copics, but im moving to charleston wich i checked out some maps on google and saw a wide variety of art stores that i'll bet at least one will sell copics. thanks for the tip!

  • Do the sketch markers have two ends? ( the chisel edge and the brush edge)

  • I have watched other videos about what paper is the best for Copics and Gina K is the recomaneded one from others. I don't know where to buy Gina K in Canada. I am wondering what you think of using Strathmore bristol smooth paper for Copics?

  • There so maney colors on Copic markers/ sketh you dont need like " R05 Salmon Red / " R08 Vermilion" its 2 diffrents markers but its same colors, is it only me ?? maybe i color blind hahaha.. This was good guide best regards Victor

  • Hello, how do I find your blog? I would like to follow you as I am a new copic sketch owner. My MIL got me a set of 12 earthly elements sketch markers and I am brand new to this, so I need to learn how to use them. Lol.

  • How long would you say a ciao would last if you use them to colour in manga/anime?

  • @Reign08Pain after 30 drawings with heavy use, you'll need a reinker.

  • very nice rings

  • nice watch

  • Thank you for your info. I am a stamper-actually I am a Stampin Up demonstrator. I have been trying to find out the difference in the various "art" markers. Prismacolor seems the most affordable. I understand that most Stampers, to my knowledge like Copic. Arent they alcohol inks? And if so-dont you have to use glossy cardstock? Is your Gina K glossy? Thanks for clearing up the dif between the two Copics. I's really appreciate a response from you and any stampers & artists on paper choices. TFS

  • If some of the pens keep on rolling, why don't you put them on a case?!

  • Really Helped me choose my first copic!!!!! I'm 13 btw!!!! Thanks again!!!! DearestDarlingDuck...

  • blah blah blah aburrridooooo boorrrrrrrrrrrrrrringggggggg

  • hello! :) it's been a long time since you made this so i was

wondering i could still get a link to that color chart from copic?

  • You might want to consider a multiline BS, I got it with a black set and it has a thin brush nib.

  • what brand of copic markers mostly used by the manga artist?????

    PLEASE ANSWER...TNX ^_^

  • @paperpencileraser I believe both ciao and sketch are both used. I don't wanna give unaccurate information but from what I've seen and heard both are the same colours, only ciao holds less ink.

    Hope this helps! :3

  • @Shinozka ur being accurate and absolutely correct!! Ciao holds less than sketch, they are all the same colors.

  • I can't find the link to the copic color chart you talked about? Am I missing it? Thanks for sharing by providing your video....they are a great help and I love them. Many thanks!

    Ruby

  • Hi! Did I miss the color chart in the side bsr? I can't find it. Many thanks!! BTW , I LOVE your tutorials! Thanks for sharing! : )

  • I think i'll buy sketches next.

But i have a question: Does it make any difference to use both sketch and ciao together? o.o Cause i just bought my first 3 ciao ones, since i couldn't find the sketch ones xD

  • stamp?

  • This was soooo helpful!

Ive been starting my copic collection for about a year now, but this was definately helpful, and you gave some great organizational tips! Thank you so much!

  • how expensive are copic markers and how much does the cardstock cost? because i am a teenager that loves anime and manga and interested in becoming a creater and i wanna know all this art supply stuff. and i dont wanna spend a whole chunk of change on some simple supplies. :)

  • @purpleheartart i just know that the copic markers are around $4.00-$5.00 EACH

  • @aznprincess2468 oy vey. kinda pricey. but thanks for the information. very helpful. :)

  • @purpleheartart I have been looking into the same questions but I want to go into art in general. Copis markers have different sets: ciao and sketch are the ones I'll mention.

In an art store I've seen Ciao's for 3-4, and sketches I've seen for 5-6. A pack is quite a lot. Cheapest I've seen for 72 was 183.00. Online shopping definately best thing to do. But amazon and other stores have little sets to try them for 30 or so dollars. Hope this helps!

  • @Shinozka yes thank you very much! ^3^

  • Hi,

Will faber castell markers bleed with the copics?

    your response is appreciated!

  • I can't believe how helpful your videos are. I've been using them to help me for just a few days and I'm already coloring better then a friend who has used Copics for 5 years! (She said so herself, that's not me just being pompous ;] haha). She's using your videos as well now! :)

Thank you so much for posting these! :)

  • Thank you for sharing this!! :)

  • (continued) the new ones have a broad, fine, and brush

  • May i recommend another marker brand other than copic?its tria.Tria markers have 3 tips, a fine, broad, and brush its a little cheaper than copics,u can find it for $3-5 in the US i think,so u shud try it out.Ink in the tria is very similar to copic(quality)its not as bold or dry as prisma so its almost as good as copic. They have 2 versions of the tria there is the older model:pantone tria and there is the new one,the OLD one doesnt have a brush,it has a fine, broad, and extra fine(a pen-like tip)

  • wait umm what does the stamp do? I'm new to this

  • @jakkassim

there are like 331 something copic colours, each set of 72 is $300 at the cheapest

  • i live in norway and i cant get copic markers:'(

  • @MangaFTW96

    They're on Amazon.

  • @MangaFTW96 get em from oozak.com,and make an account, cheapest price ive ever seen :D and they do international,or u cud try Ebay

  • i use copic ciao and normal printer paper or my sketch book.....im guessing my paper sucks....and no wonder my copic's run out so fast!

  • Hello,

Is Gina K is better then the Papertreyink ?

    Thank you

  • @misstorina3 Gina K is much smoother than Papertrey's so it makes blending easy, another one that is great is Cryogen White

  • how do you get that stamp

  • I can't find the chart on copics web site, please help

  • Did you try the copic papers? Are they good or the Gina K ones are better?

  • @Tita123123 copic papers are really thin.. its okay but its more for illustrations. so using cardstock is better for stamping.

  • my name is gina!!!!!!!! and my last name is kim so k i my last inititial!!!!!!!!!!! just kidding lol but still my name is gina!

  • Wonderful videos. I just discovered you and copic markers! I LOVE them. I ordered the paper from Gina K because I want to stamp and color directly on my card! Thank you so much for all the help!!!

  • added to my fav list I just placed my first order and was super excited to find your channel... thank you.

  • ok so I went to your site and there was no print out sheet for the color thing.

  • Where can I buy them seperately instead of sets?

  • Dick Blick Arts & Crafts

  • I live in Japan here copics are 3.59$ for sketch since they are made here i have about 230 check my latest video to see them all

also where could i get that paper (card stock) you mentioned ill try amazon.

  • Man I envy you XD

  • hiya how much cheaper they copic markers in japan than in england dude? im thinking maybe i should go there and buy LOADS!

  • @SOLE1PRODUCTIONS D: luckyyyy! In America they're $6 or so

  • what type of printer would you recommend?

  • I use an Epson Photo R300 and I print my digi images with it and can color right away w/ my Copics

You want a printer that can accept different textures of paper for sure--I set mine to matte

  • Hi there, this video is awesome! But I can't find the link you were talking about on your blog, the copic color chart. Is it somewhere specific?

  • Really great vided on copics!

Sadly, I don't have Card Stock paper, but I do have Beinfang 360 Graphics paper. It's suppose to work great with markers, so will it still work great with copic markers? Someone plz respond. ^_^

  • I'm not sure about that paper as I've never used it--so the best place to inquire would be the copic site! I don't want to give you a wrong answer!

  • man 300.00 doller for all 72 copics.......then im never going to be a artist at this rate

  • Jakkassim, you can do what I'm doing--purchasing a few at a time whenever I have money, and eventually my collection will grow larger and larger. It just takes patience. =]

  • @jakkassim theres over 100 of them.

  • @jakkassim that is quite alot if you think i saw once 72 copics for 188

  • @jakkassim Promarkers are a great substitute, only thing is they dont have a brush tip but a small tip instead. However pro's use them too ^^ Or deleter markers ^^

  • @jakkassim hahah theres wayyy more than 72 Copics- more like 346 (:

  • can "smushing" the color back into the lines on paper.. with the colorless blender.. apply to any kind of paper.. mainly.. regular.. copy paper? thank you for the vid!

  • umm... how much do copic makers cost all together?

  • copics cost around $5.00 US dollars each. the entire set of 72 costs around 300.00 us dollars

  • how do they work on Sketchbooks & Blackbook ????

  • *Finally!!!* Someone who actually KNOWS what she's talking about!! I love these markers, even though I don't know precisely how to use them (or on what!)... and I'm not particularly artistic, but I'm learning!

Thank you for the best tutorial EVER on YouTube!

Do you have any advice on which stamps work best for coloring? (I can't draw a straight line. ;o] )

    Thank You!

  • @candledamachine memento is what she sais in tuexedo

  • Do you use stamps because it's advantageously or it is easier for you ?

  • what dimensions does that cardstock come in?

  • the Gina K (120 lb weight luxury white cs) comes in 8.5x11"! Hope that helps!

  • yup:)

    that helps plenty

    thank you!

  • have you tried Aquabee?

  • Hello!

I just found your videos and love them. Thanks for sharing your talent.
