  • This is the inspiration for the Spanish film Open Your Eyes

  • One of the cinema's greatest movies. Hitchcock, Stewart, Ms Novak, deserve the highest praise. Miss Novak gives one of the great performances in movie history.

Every time I see it I love it more.

Astoundingly Vertigo was shut out of the Oscar race, and none of the principals

i.e. Hitchcock, Stewart, Miss Novak were even nominated. A glaring error.

  • can somone PLEASE explain this movie to me?

  • @burtonrules123 The movie is about a retired police detective who has a phobia of heights. When he retires, his friend asks him to do one last mission: To follow his wife. He believes his wife has a spirit in her taking over. When she dies, that's when the movie REALLY starts. He starts having nightmares about her, and when he finds a look-alike of her, he becomes obsessed with her. Now that's all i'll reveal to you.

  • hahaha @ 00:52

  • this trailer is not too great ... but Vertigo is the one of my most favourite movies of all time!

  • un thriller psychologique classique d'hichcokh l'un de mes preferes

  • kim is still gorgeous if anyone wants to see recent pictures of her just watch my video "kim novak throughout the years"

  • What a messy trailer, what are those fake screams (the cop's, Madeleine's) doing here?

The restored film looks great but the hatchet job they did to the sound! All those intrusive, distracting sound effects are completely unnecessary and amateurish. Though they fixed the problem for a recent re-release.

Many mistakes: a ship horn when Scottie dropped off Midge is missing. The church bells at the end! Why so loud? They should've let the soundtrack alone, as the sound people were so clueless.

  • magnificent movie by the best director ever..

i can´t believe hitchcock didn´t receive any Oscar as the best director. Rear window, Psycho, Rebecca and Vertigo are simply unforgetable

  • This is a very complex movie.

  • This is probably the best film I've ever seen. 5/5

  • I had to see this movie more than 2 times to understand it. When I saw it for the second time I watched everyone in the theather standing up after the scene when she jumps out and killed herself(pretending) Everyone said that is a terrible movie. But here was when the movie starts. When she really jumps when she got scared of the nums. He was following her to forgive her from everything she did/

  • The best movie of all time. my favorite.

  • i am so glad i watched vertigo for the first time without any idea what the plot was about! this trailer would have ruined it for me i think.

  • This trailer is SO good1

    My Hitchcock-favourite!

It really is Hitchcock at his best!

  • Classic!
