  • When did G&L start using Plek machines?

  • It's height, not "heighth."

  • After watching this video, this Plek machine is definitely going on my xmas santa wishlist.

  • Hi Steve: Just acquired my 4th G&L, this time a Bluesboy Classic with the neck humbucker. This is another example of the great G&L guitar lines that I sure would love to have seen Leo & George get to enjoy watching their company's growth. Question: This is the second one in a row (got a 30th Anniversary Asat Special) that the fret ends were a bit rough and needed filing down. Is there a reason you know of that causes this? Blessings and Happy Thankgiving.

  • After the Plek you will be stuck using what ever guage strings that came with it. So, if you want 11's instead of 9's, you'll have to have it Plek'ed again.

  • who the hell disliked this? Kick 'em!

  • very interesting video are tribute model necks made the same way with the plek machine as i have a tribute asat special, a tribute legacy and a tribute invader with the fixed bridge and two split able hummbuckers and would not trade them for the world my fenders and gibsons would have to go first along with my Rickenbacker 620. thats how good I rate my tribute's.

    cheers Clive

  • @clivedavies3

    "US made G&L's"

  • i thought Gibsons plant would be bigger, good job though.

  • I had a Plek job done on a neck and it cost about $200 so to have it done before hand is huge. Makes a big difference how the guitar sounds and plays.

  • This is really great stuff!! Let's have more like this please. It's great to get a peek at where my two USA G&L guitars (ASAT Special Deluxe and Legacy HB) were actually built! It's a pity that 'George & Leo' aren't with us any longer (RIP), but it's great to see the spirit of them both still living on in the company. Thanks for the vid Steve. Please thank everyone at G&L for everything they put into such wonderful and special guitars. Cheers. Bill Evans, England, UK

  • Very very awesome! Keep more good stuff like this comin' guys! We're so proud to be a G&L dealer and I personally show off my Legacy to every student!

  • That's why my us rampage is perfect ! ;-)

  • very cool to see how my guitar was made !

  • This is awesome, thanks for sharing!
