I just finished reading his book and just today found out about his suicide. I am blown away by this. Jason Moss was so determined and strong willed and seemed to be so successful in his work. It was a very good read but I am sad that he took his life. I wonder if the Gacy experience and his other experiences with serial killers had to do with it.

I´ve read Jasons book now and it was a disappointment. I thought it would be more details and letters from the killers. But it was mostly about just Gacy and what Jason himself wrote to them and how he felt etc. I wanted to know what THEY wrote, what they felt and so on.

...and there´s something really strange about Jason, can´t put my finger on it though...

@1977jenna I read the book, and my impression about Jason that you couldn't put your finger on ... which I pondered through the whole book... was that Jason got turned on by Gacy. Maybe he wanted to be as close to these guys victims as possible. Closet Gay maybe.. These guys like Dahmer and Gacy were "hot" to these gays and had a mystery and experience that turned these gays on to them. I wonder what happened in that cell with gacy wackin off that Jason didn't put in the book. Jason suicide.

How sad & interesting...He feared those serial killers, yet, HE was HIS OWN WORST ENEMY! He finally murdered himself. I believe that he may have given into his fantasy & obsession with serial murderers & may have perhaps gone somewhere and murdered a stranger. In his self consuming guilt, his conscience got the best of him--finally after acting on his fantasy by killing a stranger, he found out that it wasn't in him. He was not one of them--a murderer. He then committed suicide over his guilt.

Dear Mr. Gacy was not a very good movie. For starters, how can you make a movie in Vancouver that is supposed to take place in Las Vegas??? It had a weird ABC after school special vibe running through the whole thing. This movie also seemed to glorify Gacy. This poor fellow Moss obviously had a mental health issues that Gacy manipulated. Why on earth did someone think this would make a good film???

This is interesting to me as I did/do the same thing as Jason - his book in some ways inspired me and I began a correspondence with Richard Ramirez, Elmer Wayne Henley etc etc.

@dearmrgacy Why in the world would jason Moss KILL HIMSELF?!??!!? He had a BOOK PUBLISHED and was criminal defense attorney. He turned his weird obsession into something positive. He must have been a mental himself, then. You know how hard it is to get a book published, and law school!!
