@jasmine2501 yeah, i didn't mean the servo u r using, i have built 2 450 helis. now i'm thinking to build one 250 and got 5 servo left at home, maybe i can use those :). see how 250 flys. by the way, trex 100, is 4 ch or 6ch? 3D?
@chenhongxp If they will fit in the holes you can use them. Any servo strong enough for a 450 will be fine on the 250. The Trex 100 is a fixed pitch helicopter - I don't think it flies terrifically well.
@chenhongxp It is a 4 channel fixed pitch helicopter. I flew it in the hobby shop and I had trouble controlling the tail in a hover, but when it's moving forward it's fairly well behaved. The Blade SR 120 flies much better though.
@jasmine2501 ok, i also have a bit of problem on hovering on my 450, i donno what's wrong, leveled my swash plate, my blades pitch should be fine, it still drifting to some directions (maybe my skill problem), my gyro doesn't seems really helping much, tail keep moving to left. do u know any other problems will be?
@jasmine2501 thx, Sigh!!!!!, just went out fly. one screw came out from servo when it was flying, lost control. sigh!!!!, lucky only have slightly damaged.
@chubbychicken1234567 No, because the helicopter is not self stabilizing, when you give a cyclic input, the helicopter will roll in that direction until you stop giving that input. If you hold the stick long enough, it will flip all the way over. This is different from coaxials where you have to hold the stick to keep the helicopter moving. With CP helicopters, your stick input makes it roll - if you want to roll back to level, you have to do it.
@chubbychicken1234567 Yes go watch my flight training video. You give your forward input for a short amount of time, until the helicopter rolls as far forward as you want it to. Then it will begin to fly forward - to stop it, you will have to roll it backward, wait for it to stop, then roll it forward again to level out.
@chubbychicken1234567 It is all in your radio programming. There is nothing to prevent the helicopter from turning over, but you can prevent it from being able to hold itself up inverted, by reducing the amount of negative pitch that is possible - this is controlled by your pitch curve. The thing about CP helicopters is they have no desire to return to level flight - so if you tell it to flip over, it will.
@chubbychicken1234567 instead of setting the servo's level with 50% pitch, set them level with 0% pitch. it won't want to roll any where near as much then. this setup is also great for beginners as they can drop the throttle completely if they become nervous or are about to crash and it won't slam into the ground hard.
@MitchumIndustries Yes that is true, but I think it teaches a bad habit and makes it harder to transition to 3D flying. I think beginners should be taught that the center is zero pitch, so they can learn to find that spot with muscle memory. I can pick up my radio and center my throttle stick with my eyes closed - and I don't mean I get it close, it's right on the mark. When flying, I use that point a lot - it's a home point, like a "ready position" kinda.
@jasmine2501 yes, i agree with you that that is also true. i guess it really comes down to personal preference. i used the method i suggested while learning to hover to reduce crashing and then once i could do that i moved to centre as zero pitch.
@MitchumIndustries Yeah there's many different ways to skin the cat. The trick is knowing what method works best for you. I learned to swim by being thrown in the water - I learned to fly helicopters the same way. Doesn't mean that's the right method for everyone, but it works for some people.
hey jasmine, I have the flybarless trex 250 I bought used. I am trying to center everything but I don't seem to have as much forward elevator as rear. How can I change that. thanks.
@valdes3232 How to set this up is shown in another video. You wouldn't benefit from simply copying my settings - as I use the 16T pinion, a new motor, and I'm at high altitude.
building it wasnt hard i used your vid and check the whole thing after i was done fnny to see a women do this you see most of the time man that do this
I just got this heli yesterday. Can anyone help me or explain how to set up my dx6i with basic settings so I can start to install my servos. Thanks for your videos on this you are impressive and explain things well.
Follow along through the videos... there is different setup shown at different places. There is a radio setup video as well. If you go through all the videos, it should be pretty clear. The videos are designed so you can follow along AS you build. Use the pause button and build and watch, and you will get it all - nothing is overlooked if you do everything in the videos in the same order. The radio setup video is last.
This kit is sold partially assembled, but only to show how the parts go together, you still have to take stuff apart and put it all together yourself. This kit is about $380 depending on where you get it. This is a bad choice for a beginner. Very different from the birds you fly too :)
Are you a man or a woman?

@SilverChevy2008 Yes, and it's a good thing too because it would be hard to do these videos if I was a fish or something.

are those servos for 450 size fit 250 too?
chenhongxp 2 months ago in playlist heli
@chenhongxp Yes they can be the same size, but the 450 needs a stronger servo. I wouldn't use these on a 450.

@chenhongxp Maybe you have some trim in the rudder or something. Hard to say without seeing it.

What's idle up/stunt mode mean because I thought that limits how much it can move around

So if I push the right stick right up it would flip so I'd have to not give loads of input to make it go forward

Hi jasmine I'm getting the trex 250 super combo and is there a switch to prevent me doing inverted if I didn't want to like just fly it normal
