dark is better for night time... look at all night time lures (spoiler alert, they are dark) and bait casters are not that difficult. you just have to be smarter than the reel. and only people who don't about bass fishing would think they bass do not like thick cover.
I like the vid, but some false info. Straight reeling a frog with tastles in my opinion will rarely work. There has to be some action. an and yeah u see minows on the edge, but the majority are in the grass. It provides food and shelter for them. Bass are also in there, but wont be able to catch them as easily because of camoflage or swift turns from the baitfish into the thick hydrilla or any other grass. That setup ur using in this vid is also good in clearwater lakes with underwater trees/bushes/brushpiles in the backs of coves, but I would use a white/sexy shad colored frog instead.

It's a shame you gave up on baitcasters. Did you have someone who knows how to use them try and teach you? It is frustrating at first, but once you get the hang of it you won't want to go back.
you hate bait casters cuz u cant use them prrperly so you give up and claim u dont use them cuz "hate them" and use 50 or 65 lb braid with a atleast a 7'6" heavy action rod. and if you want to spice up your frog a little bit take a small rattle off a jig and push it through the hole of the frog the hooks come out of
Alright man. Some tips for you. First of all use 50pound braid. Second get a 6.3 gear ratio baitcasting real and a 7ft meduim heavy casting rod. Also slow down your retrieves on the frog by alot. I usually will just twitch it then wait about 20-50seconds then twitch it again. For the rest of you assholes commenting on his status your a bunch of douchebags andd probably all suck at fishing.

I think you let it pause for way to long. I usually pause for 10 seconds tops but 45? Seems way to long. Also I've found frogs work best in the mornings for me. But that's in the midwest. If you're gonna keep using that spinning reel PLEASE grease up the crank. That squeaky noise always drives me crazy.

He doesnt use a baitcaster because he tried it, got a ton of loops and decided he didnt want to waste his time. the only reason I can use a baitcaster is cuz I wanted to prove my dad wrong and show him baitcasters can be used. If you dont want to use a bait caster than fine, but you are severley limmiting your fishing ability. There are just some baits that work way better with baitcaster such as the frog he is throwing. His casts would be much more accurate and he could work the lure better because he wouldnt have to crank so much. Likewise, certain lures are better thrown with spinning gear, such as your smaller finesse approaches like drop shotting and shakey head fishing. Keep working at the baitcaster.

Nice video, dude! Those baitcasters can be trouble. In fact, it took me two (winter) months to master casting mine. By the time spring arrived, I was all ready to go. I encourage that you try them again, because they really do offer a lot of benifits.

Hey man! Not trying to be some random YouTube jerk... but to be honest your video was a little long and boring. Most people don't want to watch a 15 minute video. Try cutting down the time a little bit, for example cut out scenes when you're trying to fix your line and stuff, also if you catch every now and then to keep people interested! Once again just some constructive criticism! Keep Fishing!!!

I think you let it pause for way to long. I usually pause for 10 seconds tops but 45? Seems way to long. Also I've found frogs work best in the mornings for me. But that's in the midwest. If you're gonna keep using that spinning reel PLEASE grease up the crank. That squeaky noise always drives me crazy.

why do you guys all rip on people for the stupidest things. He doesnt use a baitcaster because he tried it, got a ton of loops and decided he didnt want to waste his time. the only reason I can use a baitcaster is cuz I wanted to prove my dad wrong and show him baitcasters can be used. Also he doesnt feel lke wasting his money on an expensive reel because he can do well without a one hundred dollar rod. He doesnt need to cast more than 20 yards because that is a sick little pond.

If you dont want to use a bait caster than fine, but you are severley limmiting your fishing ability. There are just some baits that work way better with baitcaster such as the frog he is throwing. His casts would be much more accurate and he could work the lure better because he wouldnt have to crank so much. Likewise, certain lures are better thrown with spinning gear, such as your smaller finesse approaches like drop shotting and shakey head fishing. Keep working at the baitcaster.

ok first off...ignor these clowns putting you down..the video was ok...i use bait casters for everything...everything from trick word to 1 oz jigs to skipping under docks...you just to take the time to learn it..i promise you in heavy mats and spinning rod will not hold up with a 8 pound bass...well 99% of them wont..but spinning reels have their place and there is nothing wrong with using them..keep up the good work..

Nice video, dude! Those baitcasters can be trouble. In fact, it took me two (winter) months to master casting mine. By the time spring arrived, I was all ready to go. I encourage that you try them again, because they really do offer a lot of benifits.
