  • i hate to disregard what you say but i know this is mike cross. it was recorded at cats cradle in chapel hill and it is on the album .live and kicking and it was written by mike cross...

  • is not this mike cross?

  • my girlfriend sent me this the day before i planned to wear a kilt to school.

  • Holy shit dude O.O

  • I can't believe I found this song!! I love it : )

  • I've been listening/singing since I was about 3yo...the first time I actually understood the song I was embarrassed...but that only lasted about a minute before I started singing again...the only reason I was embarrassed was because I suddenly knew why my father always laughed when his toddler daughter(me) sang the song.

  • @DYANNALUNA92 You know My dad did the same thing when i sang this song...lol...When I was old enough to understand the song, I laughed, mainly because my Uncle John, all he wore was kilts, and my older brother used to love this song and sing it all the time, then I learned it. Good times!

  • I'm with huntjl88. I'm very familiar with this recording -- the engineer was a longtime friend of mine. It's definitely B.B., not the Rovers.

  • this is Bryan Bowers off his 1980 album home home on the road.Every version on youtube is the same no matter who they say it is its always Bryan Bowers singing it. don't even think the irish rovers ever recorded it

  • @huntjl88 you're wrong sir. it is mike cross off his album live and kicking. this version was recorded at cats cradle in north carolina and this song was written by mike cross...

  • I just love the chorus.
