guardiane - you're retarded... just kidding. no but seriously, all you need to do to make a wind screen is get pantyhose and wrap it around a wire thing like a clothes hanger. getting a better mic will be like 50 bucks
Can't wait to see the rest of these vids! I knew your lists would be unique. That NYC game actually looks kinda cool. Might have to fire that one up on Stella.
I had Montezuma's Revenge as a kid and beat it, too. Your character was called Panama Joe instead of Pedro, though. The NYC one looks interesting. Cool vid.
@guardiane Yepp, check out the game called Preliminary Monty - it's an 'earlier version' of Montezuma's Revenge. If I'm not mistaken, the game was not finished and couldn't be beaten. Maybe that's the one you're talking about?! :)
Floppy diskettes and disks were notorious for data failure over time. Especially if they were stored in an area where the temperatures would rise and fall more.
Even in optimal conditions, the oxide layer on the disk surface itself will break down. I don't know how many times i had to make a new 'project disk' for my basic programming back then.
@ReddmanDGZ Yeah well my discs had probably been through a lot, even though they were contained in a locked case. I wasn't too surprised they didn't work...worth a try though.
@the4leggedparrots Here's a swell idea. Check out a few other YouTube videos, and if 2 and 2 still don't mentally add together to form '4' for you, come back, and I'll be happy to tell you.
@the4leggedparrots Fair enough.... sorry about that. People putting other people to work in the comments section, by asking questions they could easily find out, themeselves, in less than five minutes (either by Googling or scrolling down the page) is sort of a pet peeve of mine.
People can seriously deal with your breathing and Ss, which I personally don't even recall. Screw the assholes who complain about such petty crap; they can step off a pier. It's not like you're on their payroll.
@itstheit LOL that's one way of looking at it. Actually, I didn't really care that much, hence the crap job making a replacement windscreen. But during online/game chats, it was pretty annoying there too so...that was my main reason for replacement. But I know what you mean, some people just don't respect the fact I'm doing all this work for free and for your entertainment. THanks, itstheit
@jeppewie1206 Yeah it was taking a lot longer than I thought to complete just the Atari top 10 so I figured I'd post part of the video just so you guys had something for Christmas.
@Silentgeargrandia well that Atari XL/XE system was our very first home computer...he did a lot of text based editing on there, he had a modem for it (believe it or not) but I don't recall what kind of service he dialed in to...he had art design programs with that thing (ex. to make banners, advertisements, etc.). My brother and I were the only ones that played games on it. After that, we moved on to a 386 PC...which I'll discuss in a later top 10 video.
This video made me conclude that "Assface" is the most versatile and tasteful insult ever invented.

Heck, I use a tissue and rubber band as a wind screen. It's actually not half bad as long as you hold the mic to the side of your mouth.

@Silentgeargrandia haha nope. My dad did like technology, however.

@guardiane
So they were geeks, just not game geeks.
What kind of tech did they dwell in?

How are your folks, if you don't mind me asking? Still tech geeks?

@Silentgeargrandia My mom? No way. My dad - he's still pretty techy but an average one.
