Thanks Alex. I think I've watched this 3 times in the last couple of months. The part where Barney gets Opie to help him fill out his "Witness Identification Form" is a TV classic. "His hands, his twelve extra hands." "He can make smoke come out of his ears, he learned that from the cannibals." ROTFL
Love the series, have the lot on DVD, have to watch them on pc via an external dvd player as live in GB. Feel sorry for Opie. Andy only had to see Opie's actions as they left to know that he believes Mr McBeeVee is real.
@ohara411 The only writers I'm aware of are Jim Fritzell & Everett Greenbaum; I know Gene Reynold (who was instrumental in bringing M*A*S*H to TV) also directed a small number of Andy episodes. Actually, a lot of the crew from Hogan's Heroes went on to M*A*S*H in the early seasons, including Reynolds.
6:42 Andy says he hasnt much choice. Opies in for a Whippin!!!

Some of the writers that wrote episodes of The Andy Griffith Show went on to write episodes of M*A*S*H.
Can't you tell?
