Like it happens with John Williams, another great virtuoso, some people think because Ana does not make contorted faces, she has no "feeling" and is robotic. I had the pleasure of watching her and listen to her playing live a month ago. Piazzola is VERY complex, even for accomplished Argentine bandoneonists. Her interpretation in the guitar was technically perfect and with amazing feeling.
she has rythmic xD maybe what you think it takes away the rythm its cause she plays really fast i think what the speed takes is not rythm but music accentuation
Again, totally absurd. You have a personal issue with Ana Vidovic. It would be interesting to see your own interpretation of something as complex as Piazzola and watch you enlighten yotube with your rythm "vitality".
i think shes great ... its hard to criticise her it really is .. but sometimes she does come across as a robot when she plays. but only ever so slightly. and she does tend to play things too quickly. but i guess thats just her style. everyone has their own style for e.g with the give bagatelles by William Walton i prefer Julian Breams version he just slows it down a bit and its suprising how much of a difference it makes.
i absolutely love ana. her technical skill is amazing. some of her interpretations are a little suspect though. one of these such interpretation is the la muerte, played first. the primavera porteno is excellent however.
Please, someone shoot that sob coughing through the performance.

daveibarra 2 years ago 2
Her beauty has nothing to do with her accomplishments. It is an added gift to those who can go to her performances.

rhythm?! Vidovic has no sense of rhythmic vitality. Besides her appearance, everything about her playing absolutely bores me.

Very jazzy to my ears. I think Ana would sound great playing standards. Her touch is golden.
