On the surface, very listenable and catchy. On a deeper level, very refreshing to hear for a love song. It is hopeful and not depressing; the man retains some level of indifference and presents the woman with a challenge. Thus he does not give all of his power away. He is going to own his desire for her no matter what! I wonder if the author of the lyrics has ever read any of David Deida's work.
