@jitteryjoe Well Frank is working on his wrestling at the moment and it's relatively new for him. Cro Cop has always had great take down defense, and if you watched the whole series of this video you can see that Frank has been working on his half guard defense. So yes you can say he is "learning from the past".

Mir didn't demonstrate any evolution in his game. Really Dana just paired him with someone who was a for sure win, since there was talk of Mir being dropped if he didn't rack up a Win fast.

The points system was not instituted to keep fighters from "lying on each for ages and boring the crowd to death" The points system can not stop that. It's purpose was to give the crowd and fighters a winner. In UFC 5 time limits wer introduced and many fights went the distance with out a winner.

The points system was not instituted to keep fighters from "lying on each for ages and boring the crowd to death" The points system can not stop that. It's purpose was to give the crowd and fighters a winner. In UFC 5 time limits wer introduced and many fights went the distance with out a winner.

1 point is worth WAY to much in a 3 round fight.

@betamonkey2 to fight. its that simple. you dont see boxers saying they fight cause they want to entertain or black belters saying they work their ass off to get a black belt just to entertain. u dont see kobe or lebron saying they train basketball to entertain fans. fighters train to fight, its a sport and thats their job. professional wrestlers train to entertain. u have them mixed up. the amount of their pay check will depend if they win or lose so they train to win.

It's a spectator sport, but the fighters don't always fight to put on a show, and that's what uneducated fans like you don't understand. If you have no knowledge of what's actually going on, you shouldn't be talking, and you obviously don't. I call a knee to the face a spectacle.
