@ricardo522042 WELL all acoustic sounds are very good with yamaha. As for this one, i have personally played on it and they sound so real, and yes i do have experience with string instruments...they sound phenomenal

@DJMurano Well.. you'll have to believe Yamaha can do it, since I didn't do any post-editting on this one :). This audio comes just straight out of the Motif and I replaced my video camera audio with the recorded (lossless) WAV file..

@MrJackanthony I have Yamaha PSR-3000 and frequency response characteristic is unusable...treble is (are...i'm not english) not real, basses are overexcited and EQ doesn't help....It's not clean, it's too synthetic

@DJMurano Well the psr series (including the 300) are an older generation keyboard discontinued by yamaha. THey have an old sound engine and none of the sounds from the motif. (The last psr was manufactured in 2006 and keyboards have come a long way since. Try playing a motif like this if you get a chance and you'll feel the magic. :

@MrJackanthony Indeed. And on top of that: the PSR series are all keyboards. The motif series, started back in 2001 if I remember correctly, are all synths, so they have much better sounds. Synths are all about the sounds, unlike keyboards which are made to play a sound combining with accompaniments to play a song much more easier.

by the way, I just bouth a used Motif xs8, it should be getting here in a week, I noted the strings and harmonica in the middle, but I didn't see you pressing any buttons, how do you trigger them, are you using a foot control? or do you have a click track on headphones? I really would like to know. Can you have the metronome runing on headphones only?

@educhiito Hey! Thanks for your comment, and congrats on your own XS8 :D! In this video I made a backing track in Cubase, and I recorded the piano on top of it. So, I have three layers of sound, piano, strings and a synth lead. If you use cubase it is indeed possible to have the click only on the headphones I believe, but I don't use it. I just record the audio and afterwards I make a audio mix down in Cubase. Good luck!
