  • Awesome vid I was going to have that name but I have this name RcRedbull34

  • awsome dude

  • that wasnt a review

  • Is this a good begginers truck? I saw it's a 2 skill level. I wanted a Stampede, but the guys at my hobby store told me the Slash is better. I saw Jang's (UltimateRCNetwork) review for the 4x4 Slash and he made it sound like it wasn't that great. I like the E-Maxx, 1st off because there is a full size monster truck replicating this truck. 2nd off DUAL motors & 8 FREAKIN' shocks! But I have little experiance with these trucks! =) I've looked at trucks since 07 but never bought one. =)

  • how long do ur 12t motors last.

  • Are the motors ok to get hot mine do?

  • well i dont hink traxxas thought people were going to drive that thing like a boat i think they ment that you can drive in deep pudles not a river

  • @dolphi123456

I deleted the commentary at the beginning of the video due to all the youtubers comments and being dumb on youtube.

I know you can't do that to a normal rc car, the whole point of the video is Traxxas shouldn't put waterproof on the box if it isn't waterproof. Some 10 year old rich kid will get the car, think its waterproof and drive it into his pool. Then he'll have the same results as me. Don't advertise it, unless it is.

  • @RcBros yea i saw a kid bout a year ago drive his new bl rustler in to a lake on purpose to show his friends i almost died

  • the stock brushless motors are not water proof only then brushed stock emaxx is water proof

  • wat is good gearing to get the most performance out of this?

  • Must be the best rc made.

  • Once she warms up she speeds up as you can see!

  • what motors and batteries were you using to get 36

  • is it a two speed transmission. If it is it high gear low gear

  • do you recommer this car?

  • what song is that?

  • "Flights" followed by "Escalates"

    by Falling Up

  • iv got an e maxx 3905 green all rpm every thing did the hard ware rus on yours and did the batteris last a week latter and do you hav any hints how to run it the best way in watter thanks cool vid

  • the manual for my rustler says that not to drive your car full speed underwater that could have been why you broke your motors, I have seen other people drive their e-maxx in water (completely submerged) and I think those were brushed motors

  • @unbreakablebond500

This was a brushed motor version

  • I didnt know you had different motors installed. The video is still pretty sweet. Thanx for posting it.

  • They are stock motors.

  • Your motors quit working because you dint break them in for water!!! run them under for an hour or more with out the truck.

  • On a typical brushed motor this isn't needed to be done. The reason these quit is because they are motors used in power drills. These motors have fans inside the motor, the drag these fans create underwater stop it from working.

  • @RcBros You sure there wasnt any dirt in the motors?

  • the do a type o frun in pocedure at the factory

  • nice vid they have a new brushless monster mambawaterproof emaxx

  • I have one and Love it!..my buddie the revo and they are good competition...I have now put Castle Creations Mamba Monster 2200 and ...I am running it on 4 cells of 4000mah 25C ....whoa...Hold onto your hats!!! Highly recommend doing this you end up with a one thousand dollar truck, but if you can get over that hump it is an absolute ball!

  • Great video, I don't know how many times I've watch it... Never gets old. When I do get back in to the rc hobbie,,, the E-Maxx is what Im getting,,, electric. No more mess with gas or tunning up because of weather. Just charge batts and beat the hell out of the truck... LOL

  • its a shame e-maxx dosent go up to 1/8

  • dang you really flooded that thing. i guess its not neccesarily 100% waterproof. i wouldnt do that to my emaxx anyway, just in case..

  • whats btter e maxx or e revo

  • E Revo for sure. Much lower center of gravity, better handling, more stable, and is still waterproof.

  • E-Maxx for bashing. E-revo for racing on tracks and hight speed runs

  • E Maxx is best at bashing and E Revo is best at racing... sow if you just want to play in the park or bashing with some friends... E Maxx is for you.

If you plan on racing, then the E Revo low center of gravity is in your advantage.

Hope it help you making a choice... Me personally i have the new E-Maxx and just "Love it" you can adjust the suspension and get better cornering with the E-Maxx to!

  • No matter what, this is a great video. I cant wait to get my new E-Maxx by mail... 4 more days! Bashing starts

  • me 2!!! i am soo exited i got the new 1 with new traxxas batteries they are included!!! cant wait but wonder how the batteries are

  • I have a pair of 7cells NIMH 8.4V 3000MAH Traxxas that is and i am not impress by them at all. I have more power and running time with the Venom 6cells 7.2V 4200MAH . I don't know if they gave me bad 8.4v traxxas battery's? maybe old stock? But sow far the venom are my favorites.

    Hope that hep .

  • Ok. How do you get a stock E-maxx out of the box to 35mph?? Mine only does 25mph or 40km/h (stock). Do you have 2 speed setup or what? pinion? spur? it's not stock if it does 35mph

  • get some better batteries and change your gears

  • Comment removed

  • Its not stock out of the box if you change ponion and spur...

  • better batteries..

  • The stock ESC only take 2x7 cell Ni-Mh batteries. max 16,8volt. thats what i got and it does only 25mph stock out of the box with stock pinion and spur.. bah.. Im just talking about STOCK.. im tuning mine for 45mph now and its not stock at all=) Bottom of line is that the STOCK e-maxx out of the box does 25mph.

  • What batteries are you using? I got 7 cell duratrax 5000mahs and they make my e maxx scream.

  • I used 2x 8,4volts 4500mAh batteries and a GPS to get the speed.. It was 25mph(40km/h) stock out of the box with stock spur and pinion. lulz I said the same thing in the comment below^^. I Just don't agree that the speedgun clips showing 35mph is of a Stock e-maxx with 19 pinion and 68 spur.

  • get outerwears motor covers

  • is that a 7 cell battery

  • i just got the new emaxx but i want to know if i can take some things off my tmaxx so i can make it stronger

  • yes the t-maxx parts fit on the e-maxx

  • Hey how can I make a traxxas stampede water proof and if so for how much?

  • what is the difference between the erevo and the e-maxx. the only thing i can tell that is different is the suspension and the body. otherwise, the e revo should not be almost $150 dollars more than the e-maxx

  • The main things you listed plus the drivetrain is different, The revo suspension is well worth the $150 more in price tag

  • is the traxxas tq transmitter waterproof also because what if i am driving it while its raining. my transmitter will break and that defeats the purpose of being able to drive in the rain

  • No the transmitter is not waterproof

  • should I get an e maxx or slash?

  • There two different trucks, ones 4wd the other is 2wd. One takes 1 battery and the other takes two. Really depends on what your after.

  • nice vid, is all ov that stock?? n wot du u think is better e-maxx or e-revo??? dont know witch one to get best vid ov e-maxx on utube!!! lol

  • Everything was bone stock out of the box, I'd say the e-revo would be my pick. The suspension is much better.

  • Awesome vid!! I'm converting my T-maxx 2.5 into a new e-maxx. I already have the tranny, chassis, and a waterproof receiver box.. Now all I need is an esc, RX, and motors to be ready to go!

  • it looks like you blew the motors at the end ....... That is the same thing what happen to my e maxx smoke came out of it and it stop going but i had turning still........the video is probly the best one out i seen on youtube yet!!!!

  • The motors did die, however after I let them sit for a week they worked again. The stock motors have fans in them which makes the load underwater to much and they fry. If you can upgrade to a motor that does not have this fan (typically fans are in drill motors) then you can run it in water as I did with no fears.

  • is the 14 cell batterys water proof or did u tape them up

  • i have a slash and when the motor stops when i'm running in water i just take it out flush it with clean water and bang it lightly on somthing to dislodge anything that might be in it hope this helps

  • This Truck is still a Truck and not a Boat^^

I think the in the end it´s a lil bit too hardcore

  • rcbros your review was great, you got me sold. i have 1 question, what batteries would u reccomend? (i am looking for something which will work best in snow) thanks!

  • they made 1 brushless e maxx that was only a prototype to test the tranny there is a vid of it but thats it

  • hey Rcbros are theyever gona make a brushless emaxx rtr? or is that just hype?

  • HEY RcBros your emaxx rocks!!! Im looking into buying one of these and i want to know from maxamps, whats a good, battery? I mean like good run time and fun all round. i know it takes 2 batteries but do you need to upgrade to brushless motor to run a lipo? THANKS!

  • you don't need to go brushless, but you do need an external low voltage cutoff if you're planning to use the stock esc

  • Talk about a major water test! Excellent video & review - thanks!

  • ok i have a question how much more run time would you get on a 5000 mah battery vs a 4200 mah battery

  • it's approximately a 5 minute difference, it depends on how you run your truck

  • Oh sorry about that, I misread the description My bad dude

  • I had talked to a guy that worked at a hobby shop and he said you are not supposed to go submarine with it, its just water sealed.. like just running through the water not swimming in it, so be careful with that

  • Please read the description

  • sick video i am getting a E Maxx 3905 and i want to upgrade the battery to like 8 cells and put brush less motors on .

do you think one Traxxas venoelen motor system would be enough please rep lie someone

  • no, my hobby shop guy said you couldnt

  • i did the same thing you did but you could see mine in the water, and my motors quit but i let it dry out and they worked fine

  • Well the pros are; you dont have to worry about fuel, burning up glow plugs, burning yourself on a super hot engine, runs same speed in cold or hot weather, dont have to carry around a starter and you dont have to worry about the neighbors because the E-Maxx doesnt make any noise, all you hear is the motors slight whisling when you hit the throttle. The cons are speed speed speed. The T-maxx is twice as fast as the E-Maxx and thats the only con. (see next post)!

  • I own the T-maxx and will get the E-maxx. You can upgrade it to run faster than the T-Maxx but it will cost you. If you upgrade to a brushless motor the speed will be just about the same as the T-maxx, and if you ungrade to the 2-speed transmission you should be just a bit faster. You can get a gear-set to be faster on the top-end but I suggest the gear-set that gives you the low-end torque, after all its a monster truck not a race car. Total upgrades $200-$250 depending on where you shop.

  • what batteries are you use? mah

  • Is that electric? cause I got the Tmaxx and never heard of Emaxx

  • yes i do believe the emaxx is better than the tmaxx the emaxx you can upgrade it a hell of alot more than the tmaxx

  • yes it is electric.

  • Awesome video, what song is that, I like it.

  • dude the manual said that u shouldnt completly submerge them..... also dont get them wet when they r hot.... i skrews them up....... dont go full throttle in the water...... tight vid though

  • I've putting the evx2 into my Tamiya Double Blaze aswell as the Emaxx water proof Servo. Should be good for Tamiya style bashing!

On another note however, how did the battery packs cope with the water?

Have you had any issues yet with you're Emaxx's water proof ESC?

  • Batteries held up find and so did the esc. As long as you don't need titans you'll be fine for water bashing.

  • I think 7.2 volts is fine for water bashing. Not enough volts to do any damage. But with 14.4 the current was probably passing though the water and causing the motors to arc

  • one of the best vids as of 4/26/08

  • Great Review RCBros....

  • great video man

  • love the vid thats totally awsome. thats amazing how far under water it went.

  • was it the motor that is smoking?

  • yes the motor was smoking. IT stopped working but after a week of drying out it works again

  • you mean the motor or the whole truck stopped working?

  • the motors

  • Finally! Some one gets that it's not a submarine! Yes, you can drive it through water, but don't make it swim.

  • That is a sweet truck. I'm gunna get it soon!

  • cool! i have 1 too i have 36000 battery packs!!, imgonnna make a vid.too

  • see xxStratxx69s comment is worth reading, it is definitlet worth the money, fast, reliable, tough, durable, and not to mention 4wd! a very fun truck to bash with.

  • lol why do you say no? cuz you dont have one and your jelous? be more specific dumbass

  • what a great truck right?

  • The E-maxx is by far my most favorite car!

  • Yes it is a great truck. Well worth the money.

  • what a great truck right?

  • Groovy, the waterproof server really are great...

its alot faster than i thought although a brushless kit would be soo much better.
