  • Can you use oil base paints in this unit?

  • "to relieve high pressure in the spray hose"

    That's what she said!

  • I need to use a spray tip size of .019 - .025 per the paint mfg. will the paint crew work with these sizes?

  • What is "the appropriate cleaning solution", using latex paint??? Thanks!

  • I had push down on the inlet valve, (below screen) to get it to prime. The valve was stuck, after that it worked OK

  • You should really follow manufactures instructions!!! Do you ever look at your hands and wonder why you have two???? (2)....need to crack out the crayons???

  • people complain about these machines a lot.. i cant tell if its a real machine issue or just the customers being stupider then a pile of horse shit... theyll leave paint in the machine for like a week.. oh why dosnt it spray.. honey wheres the god damn receipt.. lol... or maybe these machines are really that bad... idk.. i own a graco.. . did my first painting with it.. sprayed about 8 gallions.. its to my understanding wagner dosnt have reversible uncloggable tips.. fail

  • wagner paint crew is a load of cock...im a painter...and it gave me nothin but trouble! the gun would often jam becoz of the air lock, and it would also spit all over the place instead of spray, dont even get me started on cleanin it! sprayin can be useful but not all the time, take in to account the amount of masking, covering and cleaning out the damn thing, and its not realy worth! i wouldnt mind all of that if wagner were easy to contact and talk to!

  • @pierre2740 i'm a pro painter/artist of 40 yrs, and i love the little thing. i have a large Grayco also, but the Wagner can handle most jobs i throw @ it. i just get a new (reconditioned) unit for $100.oo if i have any problems. have three now, and just ordered another. they pay for themselves in a day. can't rebuild the guns tho, but they're well worth the dough

  • hi . WAGNER ....it WAGNER CREW can spray thinner base paint or not? pls respones.....

  • @yongkiongw . sure they can, might want to cut the stock a bit (thin it 10%)

  • I had the exact same issue as snipeyodadda. Help!! thanks..

  • It is not priming. Switch over to prime, and push the screen (inlet valve) or remove the screen, until paint is running through the tube. Call Wagner Tech Service if you have more issues 1-800-328-8251

  • I filled the unit with paint. Turned the switch to prime. Turned the unit on and no paint will go through the return tube. I can hear the motor running, however no paint through the tube. Any ideas of what may be wrong?

  • it worked thank you very much!!!

  • was the paint too thick? you might need to thin it out.

  • Sorry that you had issues.

For clogging you can strain the paint with a nylon or cheese cloth. Also check with the manufacture of the paint to see what they recommend for a tip and filter size when using an airless sprayer. The maximum tip size that the Paint Crew can support is .015 so if the paint manufacture recommends a larger tip size than you will need to thin the paint. Call 1-800-328-8251 if you have more questions.

  • what cleaning solution

  • Use warm soapy water for latex paints and mineral spirits for oil based paints

  • thanks

  • whats the difference between PaintCrew PF20 and this model?

  • There is no difference other than color. PF20 was sold at a specific retailer and they required a certain color look and design than other models sold at other retail stores

  • It jams, a lot but it is all about the tips. If you get the consistency of the paint right and know when to reverse the tip to clear you can get it to run for a while without jamming. Takes a lot of patience.

  • I'm wondering if this will work with oil based paints such as rustoleum. Thinned down?

  • As long as it is within the recommended tip size of the sprayer (.015) it will work

  • Has anyone tried it? If so how do you like it?

Does it clog up and you need to stop often to solve the problem by cleaning the gun and reassembling it?

    and does it run quietly?

I used a power Wagner last year not certain of the model type or Id share it with you... it was borrowed

anyway it kept clogging I spent more time cleaning the gun than painting but it did eventually get the job done.

  • i can tell you here in about a hour bought mine like 3 years ago gonna try painting deck

  • mite as well rent a professional unit...as often as you would use it.takes hours to clean

  • You can use common houshold oil. Such as 3 In One Oil.

  • What kind of oil is suggested?
